Strubhar German Baptist Meetinghouse
Greetings to you from Tasmania, Australia!

For a while I have been trying to locate the exact location of the Strubhar German Baptist meetinghouse and cemetery in Schulkill County, Pennsylvania. Some of my Dunker ancestors were of the Little Swatara congregation and the small fellowships that grew up around it. I have found the Find a Grave site and am happy for that, but WHERE oh WHERE is the actual site. I have been told it was four miles east of Pine Grove, but I have scoured everything on Google Earth with no success.

Would you be able to give me an actual street address, or some better instructions on how to get to this spot?

I would much appreciate it!

May the peace of Christ be with you,

Peter Hoover

Headstone photos
May I use the headstone photos for Henry/Bertha Hofhenke and Lester/Bertha Hoy in a book I am publishing?

Hi Cindy, I looked through my papers and sorry to say I don't have anything on Jennie's parents.

I deleted my memorial as it was a duplicate of an older one.

If you click on the cemetery name, then click on the "maps" tab, it will show you a map of the physical location of Highland Cemetery. Annie Getz was married to Thomas Moyer before her marriage to Thomas Milliken. Annie (Getz) Moyer had at least one daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Moyer) Price, who was the mother of the 6 yr old girl killed in the railroad accident.

RE: Highland Cemetery
Highland Cemetery is a small cemetery that sits on a hill off of Rt 22-322 north of the borough of Dauphin, but south of the Clarks Ferry Bridge. I believe you can get to it if you exit on Rt 325 and follow a road that runs parallel to 22-322. If you live nearby, I could show you easier than writing directions. Do you know anything of Annie's prior marriage? The newspaper article for Annie's husband, Thomas, states that the granddaughter was a step-daughter thru Mrs. G H Price.

RE: Annie E. (Getz) Milliken
I have not been able to find a grave marker for Annie (Getz) Milliken in Highland Cemetery. If she is interred with her husband, her grave is not marked. Wish I could be more helpful.
