If you have any corrections, additions, changes, or transfer requests, please first try to use the edit tab on the memorial page.

I'm always glad to receive updates and corrections, and thanks to those who send them.

Transfers outside Find-A-Grave's four generation policy will be given to those who will commit to being responsible updating and maintaining the memorials whom I am not closely related to.

Also I will post obits and will give credit those who send them.

Privacy, obits of living family members - Based on the F A G FAQ's, I will remove living survivors from the memorial if contacted.

Please visit my Dad, Harry Edward Senft and Mother, Gertrude Mae Guyer Senft Memorials. Thanks to all those who leave flowers.

********************************

If anyone wants any of my photos posted, send a web link of the photo you want posted also with a web link to the memorial. If there are more than one person on the stone, you only need to send links for one person per stone with the memorial page link. As soon as I can, I will post them as requested.

I have no problem with anyone to using my pictures for personal family trees, as long as they are credited. Because I am member of F-A-G, please give me a chance to post my own pictures.

For all those who used my pictures without my permission on F-A-G, please credited them or remove them, and post no more. When I ask to have my photos to be deleted, I expect them to be removed.

I have found hundreds of my personal undocumented photos copied on F-A-G and other genealogy sites.

This is a copyright infringement and goes against Find A Grave policy. They are my personal property and not public domain.

Even when using public domain photo's, it is nice to documented the photo to show respect for those who took the photos, also others may be able to find more family data through that source.

Most members have been real respectful and documented my photos that were posted without my permission. To them, I let them keep the photo they posted, unless I have a better photo that I retook or enhanced.

I hope F-A-G members understand that taken these photos took over 10 years of hard work, and this is not all about me. I done this for preserving history for the generations to come and to help this generation to find their family members.

When I first stated taken these photos I was only concern about getting the data on the headstone. After years past I started being more concerned about picture quality. There were times I went back and forth many times to cemeteries to get better quality photos and re-done the whole cemetery for that reason.

I seen some members get upset over the dumbest things including myself when reacting before thinking. If I offended anyone in the past, I apology for the lack of better communications.

We should all work together and be respectful to one other, even when we disagree with each other. Bottom line, we should all be in this together for the future generations to come.

York and Adams County, PA Cemetery Pictures

Harry Senft has taken over 280,000 pictures of of headstones, 337 cemeteries in York and Adams counties that are ALL posted online.

(Also, there are some in Cumberland Co., PA, Lancaster Co. PA, and one in Carroll County, MD.)

In conjunction with FamilyHart (aka Don & Jeanine Hartman), Custom Google Maps for each cemetery location have been produced so that the user can easily find the cemetery. An index of the cemeteries listed is also provided by name and by location. In addition, indexing of the actual cemetery picture files with links to the FamilysHart Online Databaseare being compiled. The FamilyHart Online Database contains over 1,012,000 linked family names, most of which have connections to York and Adams counties. This family database is the most comprehensive and complete listing of York and Adams County names on the Internet. It grows by over 1,000 names per week, and is updated online quarterly.
By The Hartman's
The York County Cemeteries USGenWeb site is a relatively comprehensive site for finding transcriptions and pictures of Tombstones in York County. Many of Harry Senft's pictures (and those of others) are posted here and are indexed by cemetery. Also found here are transcriptions of many cemeteries (some complete and many incomplete.) These transcriptions are valuable as they often include stones that are no longer readable and may not show up on photo images. Also many cemeteries only have transcriptions. Neither this site or the FamilyHart site are all inclusive for burials in York County but used together they provide the most comprehensive record of burials in the county found online.
There are over 345 different cemeteries in the county. Finding the right cemetery is compounded by the fact that many cemeteries have changed names over the years and are now known by different names. A comprehensive list of cemeteries can be found at York County Cemeteries and Locations. This link does not have burials listed but is the most complete listing of all the cemeteries in York County.

Charles Williams Obituary
Henry, Thanks for the obit for Charles Williams that you sent me. When I get home tomorrow I will cut and paste the obit that you typed in and put it on his bio section. Charles or Chuck Williams mother is my late cousins wife. Thanks for finding the obit, which I had but had not placed on his memorial due to family tensions which at this point will not matter. Will take the living siblings and children’s names out tho, I usually put as (an example ) then something like “survived by 3 sisters and one brother “ etc. . Thanks again Carrie K.

Thank you for the Druck and Wanbaugh photos added to Find-A-Grave. You seem to get around, because Starview and Prospect Hill are not the close together - oh, a couple of miles out Sherman St., I guess.

Thank you - again. Looks like nobody but the undertaker knew how to spell his first name, me included. So much for trusting death certificates (which I don't but sometimes what else ya got?).

Thank you Harry for the Cornelius W. Leash photo. I have Lesh and Leash family members. Some family members choose Lesh, which I believe to be the original family surname, and then some took the name Leash. So the Cornelius W. Leash you took the photo of I expected to be Lesh. Surprise!

Thanks again.

RE: John Bortner 125399968
Tempest was married to my 1st cousin 3x removed so by what you stated, you are related up the Bortner side not the Goodenberger side. So no relation. Thank you for your reply.

Thanks you Harry for the Henschke and Lesh headstone photos. Would it be okay to use the photos in my family history genealogy software? I will give credit of course.

Thanks,

George and Margaret Beatty
Hi,

Thank you for the pic. Thanks for creating a memorial for Margaret. I linked George and Margaret together. They are listed in the 1880 census as husband and wife.
