I no longer make changes, additions, transfers from messages left on my contributor page. Please follow FindAGrave procedures by using the Edit tab on the memorial page to request changes, additions, request transfers, etc.|
Thank you for following FindAGrave procedures.
Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs, photographs I have taken of grave stones or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.
I follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers of memorials:
Second, Transfer requests will be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Please see FindAGrave Frequently Asked questions for more information:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed information and photos for my memorials.

I see it now. I think you are right. I used to associate the ''months and days'' markers with children but that's clearly an adult marker. If you have something on him I can transfer him to you so that you can put something together. Other than some of my Holy Rood people, I am mostly in it to locate and identify older, early immigrant markers.. so I would be glad to send it to you.

Thank you for the explanation as I am unable to access the forum at present. I understand and agree with your logic since this is the "Find A Grave" website.
Thank you for those you've found.

|Vanessa Crews||RE: Annie V. Taylor Chamberlain|
Annie V. Taylor married Charles Chamberlain on 18 Oct 1897 in Manchester VA. She was 26 years old, parents Eugene and Elba.
Charles Chamberlain was widowed, age 45, and born in Salesburg [Salisbury] Maryland. Ancestry.com, Virginia Select Marriages, 1745 - 1840.
Annie was born in Powhatan County Virginia and the daughter of Eugene Lafayette Taylor and Harriet Bass. Elba [Albina Sheppard] was her stepmother.
Annie can be found in the 1870 and 1880 census in Powhatan County Virginia. Annie and Charles can be found in the 1900 census in Washington DC.
All of this is documented on my tree at Ancestry. Sykes-Taylor Family Tree. Happy to send more docs if needed.
I would also like to link Eugene's burial with Annie's. Are you a family member? I am Annie's first cousin 3x removed.
Kind regards, Vanessa Crews

Laura is the sister of our (my husband's) grandmother. It's alright if you are hesitant to edit her birth date. It is calculated, and I suppose there is a discrepancy. Thank you for your careful work.
|GenJenery||RE: Laura Bassett 99760957|
My best source is "District of Columbia Deaths 1874-1961" that provides an image of her death certificate with a death date of 1 October and the information that she was 1 month 24 days (not the 26 days stated on findagrave) and died of premature birth, bronchitis. I do not have an actual source of her birth - only calculated.
