I retired as an elementary school principal in 2000. As a person that sleeps only 4 hours a night that leaves 20 hours to fill. Sitting home is not an option. Now, I drive a school bus 5 hours a day and visit cemeteries every chance I get. I have never been to a cemetery that charged admission and seldom is there a crowd. My wife, Sandra, is of a like mind so it works well. We both enjoy the hunt and the thrill that comes with each discovery. Let us know if we can help. If you have additional information on one of my post or you are a relative and want ownership, I will gladly transfer it to you. Just ask. Oh! By the way just call me Doc!|
NOTE: Many times the family plot has names different from those on the headstone. I always attempt to provide a reference point for markers. Hope this is not confusing. I will be glad to post any accurate information on memorials followed by--provided by and you idea. If need an easy way to compute ages check out the website Ann Hamlin shared with me:
Ancestor Search Birthday Calculator.

"If you wonder about your 'roots' you have two parents, four grandparents eight great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations 300 years or so- you had 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended. --Mady Castro

|The One Who.....||Mona Mae Bragg|
Mona is my grandmother. I would like to have her obit added to her page. I think you can do this and I can add her picture, I am pretty new to all this. Thank you so much for putting her on here. I appreciate all of your wonderful work!
LOUDON, Tenn. — Mona Mae Bragg, 92, peacefully passed away in Loudon, Tennessee with her daughters at her bedside on December 23, 2014.
Mona was born in Kansas City, on Veteran's Day, 1922. She was adopted at birth to Odessa and Clifford Waltz spending her childhood in Oklahoma and Indiana. She lived most of her adult life in Lima, Ohio with her husband, World War II veteran Meredith Bragg, who passed in 1977.
Then, she lived nearly 20 years with her daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Earl Whitney, in Maumee, Ohio.
Mona had a wonderful sense of humor and was a modest, kind and gentle soul. She was an avid reader, traveler, and compassionate friend. She would often remark that her proudest accomplishments in life were her daughters and granddaughter - Gwen, Debra and Michelle.
Mona is survived by Gwen and Earl Whitney of Waynesville, NC; Debra and John Gisler of Waynesville, NC; Michelle Stafford of Madisonville, TN; and dear and loyal friends Mildred Luquette, Jerry Rhine, Lynda Boedicker, Joyce and Eugene Watts and Louise Whitney.
My aunt, Debra, passed in August 2016 and is now in the Niche next to Mona. I have to figure out how to add her. I am trying to learn :)
LOL- you're quick on the draw with those edits! Whew. Thanks. I'm going through some yearbooks and researching some of the folks. Hope I don't wear you out!I see you created a lot of the local pages. Thanks for all your hard work. I'm enjoying learning a little more about some of these people through research.
