I currently reside in north-central Alabama just a few miles south of the Tennessee state line. I served on active duty in the US Army for 22 years. Eleven of those 22 years were served overseas. Six years in the Far East (including Vietnam) and Five in Germany. After retiring from the military I traded my uniform for civilian wear and worked as a Department of the Army civilian for 22 1/2 years. I'm now retired.|
Got my start in researching family lineage when I inherited the files my mother had compiled. Stumbled across Find A Grave while researching my and my wife's family.
Family names of interest to me are: Ridzelski, Harrelson, Bradley, Mitchell, Daffin, Dauphine, Sport, Sports, Paul, Caulder, Hyatt and Roberts.
I feel that photographs posted on Find A Grave should do more than simply show a marker. The inscription on a stone can be very valuable to someone researching a family line.
I utilize a number of tricks,to include photo editing, to make the lettering on a marker stand out. Simply changing angles or forcing the flash can make a big difference in legibility. I DO NOT and WILL NOT apply anything to a marker to enhance legibility.
The photos I post on Find A Grave memorials are copyrighted by me. Copying my Find A Grave memorial photos to use elsewhere is a violation of that copyright. Without my express written permission you must not assume you have the right to use the photos I post on a memorial..

Hi John, Im wondering if you had access to the cemetery last spring or if those pics were from an earlier time? The others posted are from 2005, the last known (according to neighbors) time that the cemetery was cleared. Can you tell me who I can see to get permission to access (and perhaps clear brush from) this cemetery?

I have changed his burial to 'Unknown'.

Thank you for all you do for Find a Grave.

According to the map SUGGS Cemetery has more than 4 graves as indicated by Find A Grave. If so, would you survey the remaining graves there?
I am particularly interested about any more graves with Conner name
I see you served our country well, your service was above measure; May God bless you above measure. I too served in the 60's USAF.
