Even though FindAGrave has posted rules for copying and posting photos, I am giving you permission to copy any photos you might like for your genealogy research.|
If YOU ask, and I take it, then I consider the photo YOURS too. I am happy to contribute to your search.
Some of the cemeteries I have visited have been vandalized or left to Mother Nature. I have no objection to someone adding better quality photos or a photo of a stone after restoration. Any information to help a fellow genealogist is appreciated.
If you send a request or question about a memorial I created or added something to, please tell me the cemetery or memorial number so I can find it

|steven ihde||Elihu Galloway children per findagrave.com|
Dear C M Reed:
Thank you for all the work you have done on the findagrave.com site. You must travel a lot!
We have particular interest in one of your entries in that my wife is a Galloway with branch of family in Indiana.
I have seen your findagrave.com citation for Elihu Galloway, died June 19, 1868, buried at Zenas Cemetery, Zenas, Jennings County, Indiana. I believe you have a birthdate calculation error that I have already reported. I see that your citation lists many children and dates for birth and death. Did you find documents that support these dates, or is this from extrapolation based on other documents, census records or otherwise? We are doing much research and would like to find firsthand documents if possible to verify our conclusions about family. Thanks for your reply.
We have gone to various cemeteries and are sometimes happy at finding stones that are legible or saddened that the cemeteries are in such disrepair/lack of maintenance that stones are covered with brush and ticks. We have not entered any of the photos taken onto findagrave.com Only today did I see it possible to become a member and contribute. I am IT challenged so it will be a triumph if I can make a suitable contribution.
My wife is Tenby Galloway, directly descended from Aquilla Galloway who died in 1843, uncle to Elihu.
We will value your reply.

If you want to give me credit for the info, that would be o.k. ... in case there are errors in the info.
|James Wilkinson||RE: Horse Shoe Bend Cemetery Westport, IN|
Hi Cuz I'm in Tennessee as my grandfather Leroy Wilkinson was raised in Decatur Co and left Westport, IN coming to Westport, TN in about
I am connected thru Elder William Jasper Tyner and Martha Hamilton (his 2nd wife), who he is buried beside in Horse Shoe Bend Cem.
I came to visit Tyners Lick Creek Cem again. My older brother was with me and he was ready to head home after a week in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky searches.
My old computer "bellied up" with all my Family Tree and data, so trying to rebuild all my tree on Ancestry. Just starting over going thru my 15 or 20 notebooks on family data transcribed for more than 20 years of genealogy.
Got to read up on "FG" rules as I haven't and received critics on my errors for other family inputs.
I am repeating this on others who have replied about Tyner ancestors.

About your note about picture of Tombstone in Cemetery for Elder William Tyner. The person who emailed you about it is wrong, you are correct. It is in Horse Shoe Bend Cemetery as I took photo of it there too.
He started 5 churches in Indiana and Ohio. At one time I am told he was Pastor of the Horse Shoe Bend Baptist church where cemetery is.
James Wilkinson, William was my 5th great-grandfather.

Can you take another look at the stone on this one. I believe it should be March instead of May for the death date.

May I use the grave photo that you contributed to the memorial for Calvin Alphonso Adams, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will receive credit for this.
Thank You for your consideration.

I see that you posted a photo of the headstone of Nancy A. Tatman in the Zenas Cemetery (Jennings Co., IN). The stone is worn and reflects Nancy A. Tatman, wife of Joseph, and the rest is unreadable in the photo. I was wondering if you lived close to this cemetery and would be able to try and read the dates and other information on the stone. Your consideration is greatly appreciated. Regardless, thank you so much for posting the picture!!

I look forward to learning what you find! It is possible that Day or Johnson families may be buried nearby. Thanks so much for checking your pictures.

You posted a picture from this cemetery and I wonder if you live close? Another person asked fpr a picture of William Holman back in December 2015 I believe. Would you be able to get it for her nd myself?
Some other names are Van Horn, Hensley, Rowland, Pettit and if you think they would be your family, I will send. Let me do some checking here local first and I will be back with you. Patricia
