My husband & I live in Southern Indiana and like to take 'country drives'. Frequently we pass cemeteries that seem to be lost and mourn a little for what appears to be forgotten souls.|
--I will be happy to transfer management of your family members to you, just ask.
----Please accept my apology for some photos in which the stones are 'dirty', some cemeteries are just too over grown.

Dear Barbara Lynn:
Thank you so much for entering this family member into Find-A-Grave! I appreciate the memorial site you've created, and I would like to maintain it if possible. Will you please transfer management of Jessie's site to me? As you can see, I've already sponsored her memorial, and I would love to go further.
Thank you for your consideration.

|Phyllis Pickens||Sarah A Pickens #85018187|
I have been searching for Sarah Altha Pickens the first wife of James M Pickens but the dates on this tombstone don't match the other dates I have for her. According to the dates on the stone, she died when her husband was 4 years old and her father 13. I'm wondering if this stone belongs to Sarah Fisher the daughter of John and Mary Sisk Fisher and the wife of James W Pickens, son of Lemuel Jefferson Pickens. James W and Sarah J Fisher according to InGenWeb.org were married 18 Mar 1872. In census, Sarah is listed as Sarah A. not Sarah J. so this could be her. The dates match better.
Thank you. Let me know what you think.

Hi Brenda, Would you please add the parents to Charles Haley 1924-1937 in Mt.Gilead Cemetery? His parents were Lucy Nation Haley 77660209 and James A. Haley 57566284.

This memorial on William Benjamin Chisham is linked to parents, Urial Riley Chisham and Jane Busick Chisham. William Benjamin Chisham's father is Urial and his mother's name is Jane (last name unknown)but it isn't this Jane. The link is for Jane Busick Chisham, memorial #15456634 who married William Walter Chisham, a brother of Urial Chisham. If you double click on the picture of her grave marker, there is a notation below that says "Wife of William W Chisham - Stone is beside William's stone". The following is the excerpt concerning William Walter Chisham from his biography in the History of Orange County, etc., by Goodspeed: "He has been twice married: September 13, 1836, to Jane, daughter of Gabriel and Catharine (Sauls) Busick. Mr. Busick was born in North Carolina October 1, 1785, and died December 24, 1852; his wife was born August 11, 1785 and died April 4, 1872. Mrs. Chisham was born in North Carolina, December 1, 1815, died October 11, 1865."
|Edward Wright||changing Lena Wright's mother|
The family trees on ancestry have always listed Lena Wright Younger Ralston's mother has Sarah Jane Reed(1851-1874). I too am guilty of this but is has always bothered me. Since the Indiana death certificates have been added to ancestry many facts have become clear. Her father Green T Wright married Jennie Hamer in 1875. Lena's mother is Jennie Hamer(mem# 121049747) & the death certificate states this.
Thank you for all you do for Find A Grave. I've walk a few cemeteries & it's not always fun.

|genealogygirl||Charles & Thursie Edwards|
Thank you for entering Charles & Thursie Edwards into Find-A-Grave! When I was recently doing some genealogical research, I was so pleased to find them there.
They are my great-grandparents on my father's side, and I would love to maintain their memorial sites. Will you please transfer them to me? As you can see, I have already sponsored both of their sites, and I would love to go further.
