For thirty plus years I have been involved in genealogy. When my mother died, she left some notes about a few ancestors she had uncovered and hoped I would continue her research. That was the hook-in-the-jaw that changed my life. I only regret that I have missed out on so many years that I could have used. Alas, all those family stories that went in one ear and out the other, and all those family members who took so much information to the grave with them. |
I am, however, thankful for the tools that are now available and for FindAGrave, a platform that I have spent many hours gaining from and contributing to.
If I have created a memorial for a member of your family, who isn't related to me, and you can add a biographical sketch I will be glad to transfer it to you. Many have received a transfer/transfers & have never added anything. This isn't fair to kin who may come along later who can do so. I will not transfer in mass numbers.

Virginia, I noticed that the picture for "AuDrey E Wilson" does not match. The headstone in the picture says "AuBrey E.Wilson "Dad"". AuDrey's spouse is correct. AuBrey's spouse is Gladys I Coonce. AuBrey is a man. Thanks, Jackie

Thank you for your help. I have almost no information on his death. This has been a genealogy mystery that has eluded me for many years.

Thank you Virginia, I have been looking for any information about Benjamin's death for years. Your posting gives me hope. However when I go to the Old Village Cemetery website, it does not list Benjamin as being buried there. Was he part of the civil War removal? Thank you for any help you can give me concerning Benjamin's death. Find A Grave Memorial# 178397921

Thanks a bunch! Have been hunting for James, and your's was the first 'clue' I've been able to find. This was the James Crane I was looking for, though he's a long ways from Missouri.

Just letting you know that James Crane's memorial has been transferred to you. I'm always happy to transfer to kin.

Thanks for entering the information on Sarah Ellen James Crane. You mention she is the husband of J. E. Crane. Do you have any information on him? I am trying to locate a James Crane, from Morgan County, possibly James E, and am wondering if this might be him.
Thanks for any help you can give,

Sorry about the mistake.
I am descended from Charles Joseph Dodson through his son Thomas Jesse. William was descended through Thomas' brother Lambeth (sometimes called Lambert).
Thanks for catching that and still responding to me.
I hope you don't mind that I downloaded several pictures of the people in the George Bell Dodson family, as well as those of Cynthia Vance by her first husband.
If I can be of any help in your ancestry research, please feel free to contact me.

William was by 5th cousin, 3x removed. I was a Dodson before I married. I want to thank you for all the information you have posted on this Dodson line as well as it's connections. They make the people come alive.
I was wondering what your connection to the Dodson line is. I always enjoy getting to know "cousins".

I wrote you in February when I was helping with research on George Washington of Centralia. I am now co-authoring the book about him. I am working on the Charity chapter. I see on the Centralia plats that her name is on many of the additions to Centralia. I think she deserves more credit than she perhaps has in the past.
I saw your letters to Margaret Shields in the Lewis County Historical Museum!
Would you be willing to tell me what you know from the family (even if it's bad) and what you have collected about her? I have found a lot too and can share.
My email is email@example.com
