The military brought me and my soldier husband to Fairbanks (Fort Wainwright) Alaska in June, 2003. We fell in love with this wonderful state and knew we wanted to stay forever.|
My husband retired from the army in August, 2007 and like many other military families, we remained in Alaska. We now live in North Pole.
I am an avid photographer; living in Alaska is a dream come true for me.

|James Harrison Turner||Caroline Smalley Fillman 1832-1888|
I've connected Caroline to her parents, Samuel S. and Clarissa (Hewitt) Smalley.
Caroline's daughter married Capt. Thomas Howland. Their grandson, David Howland was my uncle (by marriage), husband of Louise (Quein) Howland.
all the best,

Susan, I have been informed that Uncle Alexander should be listed in the Clay Street Cemetery, so I have moved him.
Could you repost your grave photograph for him if you still have it? I want to make sure you're listed as the contributor. Thanks.

I see you're in North Pole, Alaska. Did you know a Mary Luise Clark?

Susan, thanks so much for your diligence. I certainly appreciate it. I will also note the correct cemetery name. I had been told it was known as the name I gave you so I'm happy to have the accurate information.

No problem, I live on Memphis St 2 blocks down from the cemetery : )
