|Let me start by saying that I do VERY MUCH appreciate anyone who has taken their time to enter memorials in this wonderful system. Without your contribution this system would not be as wonderful as it is today. If you are one of the great photographers that waits for the perfect light and gets down on their knees to take that close up shot I applaud you and thank you for your hard work!|
Something I have learned poking around here for a while now. It is pointless to enter thousands and thousands of memorials if you are not going to respond to update requests so the data you have entered is accurate. There is no badge of honor for keying in pages of cemetery books only to ignore correction and linkage requests for the individuals you have entered. If you are going to support this project please respond to the update requests quickly or transfer the memorial to the requestor so that they can make the updates. They obviously have been doing some research for a reason. Please don't be a roadblock here.
I normally post SAC update requests sent to me in 2 weeks. If the memorial has not been updated in that time send me another SAC request please because it is a good indication I probably missed or did not get your first request.
Another thing I have learned is it helps to park your emotions and hot buttons at the door. We are all here to support this project and help it grow and develop. Sometimes it is easy to loose sight of that common goal. If you are easily offended by a simple request or find that you begin to take feedback too personally try to remember this is a community and not just your own playground. For this place to work we all have to work together and that requires some tolerance from everyone involved.
I have been working my family tree for more than 30 years. Lost all my computer data and working to rebuild my files. Family names of PERSONS, BADER, COX, NEIMAN, SUTTON, EMERY, AUMBERIC, GUTTING, RAU, VanWORMER, and others.
Son of the American Revolution.
Photographer, Geocacher, and Waymarker.
Photographers: If you can, take a photo of the grave to the left and the grave to the right of your targeted grave and create a memorial for each if they do not already exist. Your photos are critical for this projects success.
Remember to back up your data! and ALWAYS have FUN!

I found her in Oakwood Cemetery in a different spot than her husband.
I think we might be related.
My 2nd Great grandfather was James Henderson who married Viola Pearson (my 2nd great grandmother). Her father was Erastus Pearson (my 3rd great grandfather).
I'm rather new to genealogy (3 years) so I am still a little cautious on my deductions.
If you think we might be related, I'd love to hear from you.

You have a request at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. This cemetery is quite large and without a plot location it is near impossible to just stumble upon a requested grave.
I am happy to try to fulfill your request though if you will contact the office and ask for the plot location.
Just let me know, or post the plot on the memorial and I will try to fulfill it in the near future
The office can be reached at (901) 767-8930

There are no headstones for the Putney family. We do know the lot number they are in. We are doing ground penetrating radar on the cemetery this year and should be able to locate their graves.
I am completing a book about the early settlers of St. Francis and have included the Putney and Persons family.

Thank you so much Mark for taking care of this. Sincerely, Claudia

Hello, I have tried several different ways of getting in contact with you regarding "James Alexander Saunders" I must not be doing it correct, so will try a public message. I would very much like to know the source for the given name of this memorial. I have done so much research on this man and his family and have never found him to have the name of JAMES. The only thing that comes close is his marriage certificate which states::
This is to certify that I JOINED Alexander Saunders and Mary Babcock in Bonds of Matrimony on this 21st day of May 1857..................
The word JOINED has been transcribed as "James" I hope this helps, I would just like to help set the record straight as I feel this was Transcribed wrong by ANCESTRY to begin with.
Most Sincerely, Claudia

Good afternoon, I would like to assist with your photograph request but the plot information is either not on the memorial or in the photo request. Since this is a large cemetery I will need this information before I can take the photograph. In order to gather the plot information you can contact the cemetery at 865-588-0567 in order to request the plot information. Once you have the information either update the persons record or reply to this message and I will be glad to assist in your photo request.
