Bio and Links
Bio Photo At this point, I will not be changing information on memorials from that found on the marker. That includes dates, and names, up to and including Jr./Sr. If it is not on the marker, and can be confirmed that information will be added in the bio area of the memorial.

Reason for this, currently the "transcribe" function that is being used by some to download photos, are being transcribed by others that in most cases are not from the area, and not familiar with the names in the areas. This is causing many, many duplicates. Perfect example, recently, I found a cemetery with less than 1000 memorials that had photos transcribed, initially creating 200 plus duplicates. A FAG tool was able to delete 150 of these, but unfortunately 70 memorials had to be handled individually with emails being sent to the contributor of record.

Thanks for your understanding.

RE: Memorial Margaret Graham
That is correct, memorial #
140881399 was created by me, it's the same bio I wrote, it's the same pictures I took of her and of the funeral service. If they had been another memorial then my question is why didn't the memorial I created just be deleted rather than it showing a completely different createror?

I know I hadn't received any request for transfer of memorial. I go to great effort when creating a memorial, although I have under 130 created I try and add as much information as possible, cause of death, pictures, grave pictures and if possible pictures taken at funeral. This is the second time a memorial I've created has disappeared off my creation list. It truly makes me not have any interest in continuing to add memorials. Will you please contact Findagrave and let me know what response you get if any?
I haven't been able to get any response from them.

Sincerely,
Adrian Stokes

Memorial
I have a question I added a memorial for Margaret, A. Graham buried in Charlotte, North Carolina. That memorial was added in January of 2015 by me. It is now showing that the memorial was added by you, why is this?

I added all the bio information and all the photographs in which were added to that memorial. But I'm showing no credit for that.

She is my mother. I would be more than elated for you to transfer her memorial to me. Thank you so much.

Hi, I have sent you an edit to add my grandparents to my mother's memorial and I also sent one to add her middle name Gwyn. Thank you for all you do.

RE: Memorial
Hello Don

I've been searching this site and finally found my grandmother Annie Coker. Would it be possible to allow me to maintain her site with my father and grandfathers? I would really appreciate it.
I'm leaning a lot about my family on here.

Redundant Memorials
I would have sent this via email, but I'm traveling and don't have access to my email addressbook.

No need to flood my email inbox with messages about each duplicate. I'm aware that the bulk upload process has generated many duplicate memorials. The bulk upload is new and in beta testing. Transcribers should be more careful and assign photos to existing memorials when applicable.

As time allows, I review all memorials and remove duplicates in each cemetery where I bulk upload photos. It will take a while, probably months, before I get through them all. When I review a cemetery, I check every memorial assigned to me and delete duplicates.

Over the years I've taken many thousands of photographs at hundreds of cemeteries. So, this is a slow, tedious, long-term project. And, it is just one of many projects I work on as time allows.
