I have been researching my family since college, when I quizzed my grandmother about her family and wrote a rough family tree on the back of some scratch paper. That was many years ago, and the bug never left me!

I love the Find A Grave website, and plan to contribute whenever I can.

I knew Joan. I met here just a few days before she was killed in the plane crash in New Orleans. I know nothing about you?

RE: Memorial #121932276
Wow. I think I somehow left off the "Gord" part. I still have a couple hundred photos left to post. Hopefully I will have one for Gordon. Thanks!

The Brison family
This memorial listing was a lovely discovery. I can add my own family information regarding flight 304. Mayalen Marie (de Vitry) Brison was my mother's sister. She and her husband, Peter van Vleck Brison and their children, Gabrielle (2) and Timothy (1) were returning to Pennsylvania after having lived in Mexico for a year. Although most of the bodies were never located, Peter and Mayalen were found and identified by their wedding bands, with the two babies near them. They are buried together in a small cemetery near Marietta, Pennsylvania. The grave marker identifies their death together in the air crash, Feb. 24, 1964. Mayalen was born September 24, 1932, so she was only 31 at the time of the crash. She was expecting their third child.

Wetmore Cemetery
Thanks so much for confirming the name for me - I didn't want to add him twice. I have added a headstone picture # 45444708.

Also, I see that you are researching the Bjorkgren family in Wetmore. I recently added a death notice to Svanta Bjorkgren.

RE: Dora Vaughn.
Thank you SO much for all the wonderful Correct information on Dora Vaughn. I made the corrections and appreciate all your time and efforts. Please feel free to use any and all information you find in any of the memorials I make in your family website. I feel it is all public information, or should be. It helps the future link to the past. God Bless,

I came across your memorial for the casualties of Eastern 304 while researching the crew for a book I am writing. Thank you for your efforts. Do you have a special interest in the accident?

Harriet Hahn and Roger Chown
Thank you so much for combining the memorials for Roger and Harriet Chown. The family was so devistated when they both died, and this is so appreciated. I love that they are connected again, even if it is through Find A Grave. Find a Grave is a wonderful site, and I thank you for your work.
