Allen Hevenor
Mr. Hevenor served in the 17th NY Light Artillery 8/20/62-6/12/65. His parents were Peter F. Hevenor and Augusta Davis. (Was his middle name perhaps Davis?). He was at Appomattox, and used his tobacconist skills with another soldier to make cigars (25 cents each, no change given) in the hole left when the tree Lee had waited under had been totally removed for souveniers - they made $150.00! Allen died 9/4/78 at New Orleans during a yellow fever epidemic. His wife Ella L. (1844?-11/5/12 in San Francisco) ran Bassler and Hevener (her spelling), an imported millinery shop, early 1880s. Obituary
Hey do you live in Washington County, RI? Because one of my distant cousins died in Wakerfield, RI, and I was wondering if you lookup obituaries too?

RE: Hevenor graves
Hi. Ok, I think I got all the Hevenors at Wildwood transferred to you, but may have missed a couple. Whew! Forgot how many there were. So if you see more, let me know and I'll transfer them too. I forgot to make the changes you suggested, so you'll have to do that. So glad you'll be taking care of them. Thanks for contacting me.

RE: Hevenor graves
Thanks Mark. I'm trying to get as many gravestones uploaded from Wildwood as possible. But do it a little at a time...usually when I'm taking a break from work. I will add what you suggested, but would you like me to transfer all the Hevenors to you? Would be happy to. Let me know.

You took 3 pictures for the Caleb cemetery a couple years ago. It has been recorded that he was buried on his land. The GPS Coordinates: Latitude: 41.42228, Longitude: -71.51714 has been set as the land. If you can get on Google Earth you will see where these are. Can you remember if this is where the pictures were taken ? Right off Hwy 1 by Rum Pond.

thank you

Burbank's and Taylor's
Hi Mark-

Happy Memorial Day! I found another Burbank-Taylor link. I'm not sure if this is a connection for you, but here goes:

Martha "Anna" Taylor married Robert William Burbank,
son of Judge Samuel Burbank and Mary Abigail Morse,
son of Eleazer Burbank and Mary Brackett.

As far as I've gotten on Anna is: she was born 1856 in Middletown, Connecticut-married and lived in Providence, Rhode Island 1883 to about 1900. I'm still working on verifying her parents, who others have as Jeremiah Taylor and Elizabeth Pride.

I know Connecticut and Rhode Island weren't on the list you gave me, but I thought I'd send the info anyway.
