I have been doing genealogy for over 20 years. The main names I am researching are Abernathy, Coley, Higgins, Howell, Knight, Ledford, Roach, Moss, Whitmore, and Williams.|
My other hobby is photography. I take photos of everything from cemeteries to concerts.
If you see any of my photos that are very tiny (ie. the size of a postage stamp), please let me know. Several years ago, the Find A Grave website had a weird glitch that made dozens and dozens of my photos the size of a thumbnail pic. I did not upload these tiny pictures. If you will let me know, I can hopefully replace them with a normal size picture.
Please note that I don't have editorial control over memorials that are listed as famous. If changes or corrections need to be made, please contact the Find A Grave admins.
I have created a website dedicated to my family cemetery, the Old Macedonia Cemetery of Bartow County. You can find it by following the link below.
And please be aware that just because I have taken a cemetery photo, it does not mean that I operate the cemetery or have anything to do with the cemetery. I only took a photograph.
Any photos that were taken by me may be used on genealogy websites such as ancestry.com. You have my permission. All I ask is that I am given photography credit.

Knoxville National Cemetery. Thank you for the picture of the Union Soldiers Statue. If you return to the cemetery, could you snap a photo of his headstone. That would complete all the facts I have gathered on him, he is my 3X Great Grandfather. I thank you very much.

Evening Blues , thank you for the cooperation with my 3rd great-grandfather , Alexander Stewart , and 3rd great-grandmother , Sarah Striplin .
I think we might be related. I believe I have corresponded with you before regarding the Old Roswell Cemetery (I am the President of the Roswell Historical Society). I just now came across a memorial you created in Randolph County, AL. I am taking my mother on a tour of her ancestral cemeteries in July (starting in Chambers Co., AL, then Tallapoosa and finally up to Randolph). Her family lines are Lovvorn, Knight, Hadaway, Jacobs, Strain and Foster. Are you related to any of these lines? Her Knight connection is via Granville Knight Jr. & Sr....Would love to know if you are located near any of these AL cemeteries and I am trying to map our route and determine where some of the burials are in the larger cemeteries - I can't see is walking a 4000 grave cemetery in late July for very long ;)

I am related to James Bryant Taylor. First, where did you get this picture of A B Taylor and do you know any more about him other than he was the mayor of Memphis at one time. I just wonder if he is related to my James Bryant Taylor....
thanks for your time

Could you see if there is a tombstone for Joseph H Hamilton? It is a military stone. Put down in the 30's. Interested in the wife's too.

Hope you will add the item below to his bio.
It will save researchers time and money.
This year 2017 - our YDNA was done for our Almand family.
Our name is not ALMAND/ALMOND or any variations of this name.
We can only trace (with proofs) our family line back to Thomas Almand, Sr. born 1762 who married Annice Ussery.
Familytree DNA told me that for some reason Irish people changed their names - a lot! There are eight pages of names matching our YDNA. But only four (4) names of Almand variations. At this point we may never find the answer to this. Contact me if you are interested in these YDNA results.

Evening Blues, it has been so long since I have chatted with you that I do not remember your name. I wanted to let you know that a descendant of Diannah Melvina, and I, found a deed that Jesse, Mary and Mary's mother, Mary Head Lakey, signed and it is the same land that James Lakey owned in Wilkes County. James died in 1842 and his will is in Wilkes County. He names a daughter Mary who was married to a Combs. This seems to prove that Mary was the daughter of James Lakey and Mary Head.
Also, I wanted to ask if you know who the Mary Combs, born 1837 died 1897 is. I had not seen this on find-a-grave before. I remember that you visited the cemetery. Was this there when you visited and could it be Nancy rather than Mary. Of course, the dates would be wrong now that I think of it. I found all of the siblings except Nancy but this has my curiosity at a high pitch. She was born ca 1852 according to the Census in 1860. I have looked at every Nancy in North Carolina and in Colorado where most of the other siblings ended up. I am living in Colorado now so hope to go to the library soon and see if I can find Mary J. Combs Gibbs death record. I did find the grave of her husband, Lafayette Gibbs. Hope to hear from you soon.
I am changing my email address today as the cox account will soon be closed. New email is email@example.com
I am trying to find descendants of Levi Fortner who live around Atlanta. I saw that you added a photo to his site on Find-A-Grave. Do you perhaps know of any descendants in the area?

Thank you for all the work you have done in this cemetery and others! I have deep roots in this area of GA and your work has greatly helped add to my family tree.
I wanted to let you know that I've completed a bio for William C Sanders, at least for now, and thought you might want to take a look. Many of the pallbearers & escorts mentioned in the obit have been linked back to some of your memorials. William's memorial # is 54912768. His wife, Rebecca Hulsey, is my cousin.
