T.Vasquez was a bandit, he lived on the Ranch my great great grandfather build, Located in the Santa Monica Canyon it is called Rancho Boca de Santa Monica, which is now a historical land mark. My Uncles and Aunt knew him, ( they were born in the 1800's) Stories past down to me was Vasquez worked on the ranch with horses so yes he did some lasso tricks, he married one of my Great Aunts and that is how he became my Great Uncle.
Walt Disney also knew my family and made a movie called Zorro, name after Vasquez, most time he was in Laurel Canyon,
Legend was that he buried all his treasure he robbed people, He was caught, tried and sent to San Quinten Prison where he was hanged. He also had numerous girlfriends
I have pictures of him and my grandfather (when he was 14)

Sorry I have not written back so soon. I been Ill with Cancer, About Vasquez my great Uncle. I as a child use to hear stories of him.. he was a famous bandit, he did have a hand at lasso ropes. rode horses fantastic, had a wife My great Aunt, and numerous girlfriends all over the state.
Walt Disney made a story about him and the RANCHO BOCA DE SANTA MONICA where he hide out with my ancestors.. he was nickname EL ZORRO ( the fox) Part of the Ranch is still there in the Santa Monica Canyon on San Lorenzo St.. It is now a HISTORICAL LANDMARK, I use to go play with my cousins there during summer as a child.

It was my pleasure leave something for Mr. Liggett. I try to leave flowers/notes for people who don't have any or very many flowers. Coming from a military family, I have a soft spot for veterans. Cheers!

About my Great-Uncle Tiburcio Vasquez.. as a kid growing up I hear stories about the family.
He was a famous Bandit in Los Angeles, he married one of my Great-Aunts.. but he had many gf's.
He was good with a rope lasso, making things out of rope. and he even caught people from a horse with a rope.
I know from the stories of my ancestors that my G-Uncle hid out on the Marquez ranch. He and my great Grand-father Manuel Marquez, were like brothers. also he had a hide out in Laurel Canyon where he hang people who stole from him.. rumor was he buried treasures there and up at the famous VASQUEZ ROCKS. It been noted that his hideout in Laurel Canyon is Haunted and people that seen that tree get strange cold spots. I been there at night and it eerie but I not afraid of spirts.
I also am related to Leo Carillo who was a famous actor.. he use to ride me on his horse when I was little.. he is buried near my Great- grandfather in Santa Monica, California on 14th/ Pico is you want to know more about the family my email addy is
Also Walt Disney knew my Uncles and Mr. Disney had made a movie about the Marquez Ranch and a bandit name Zorro ( my Great- Uncle Vasquez and if you look up the history of Los Angeles you see stories of Vasquez the bandit. but he went to prison, and was Hanged for being a horse thief he even on books of the old west famous bandits.

Monseignor Prefontaine
I am sorry, but I do not have, nor have I ever created a page for a Monseignor Prefontaine. I would suggest that you check the page again and see who actually created it, and you should be able to contact them just as you did me. If it shows my name there is a mistake of some kind. In that case please contact me again with the actual memorial number (found at the near bottom of the page) and I will research it. Thanks for writing and good luck.
