Bio and Links
I have been doing genealogy for about 35 years. I have much info and research primarily with, CONWAY-CRAIG-COTTRELL-BARNETT-DIAL-JOHNSTON-BLACKWOOD-STRAYHORN-NELSON-GORDON-CROWDER-VOORHIES-CRANE, etc, etc. lines.

For NELSON-CRAIG family researchers I have the link to Willie (The Willie) NELSON as he is most certainly in our direct line from the immigrant, William Craige. William's daughter, Isabel, m. David Nelson.

I have numerous photos of many family gravesites and will upload as much as I can as well as family pictures of folks buried in these cemeteries.

I have begun photographing the old family cemeteries on The Ft. Knox Military reservation. Many of these old cemeteries were family plots when Stithton, Ky was where Ft. Knox now is. The military has pretty well maintained them. One of the biggest drawbacks of getting to over 120 of these plots is that they are in the range areas on Ft. Knox and Memorial Day is the only day of the year they may be visited. Pretty limiting as to how much can be done.

On his find a grave memorial# 46118051 you posted a picture of him and 2 women at the spring. Do you know their identity? Thank you for sharing your photos.

For the Infant child of William Conway and Nancy McCafferty the dates of birth and death entered are Oct 20, 1901. I read the day to be the 28th but I may be reading it incorrectly.

Elizabeth Griffin (1829-1919) in Freeman Cemetery
Is she one of the wives of Bluford Griffin (1815-1900)? He married several times. This Elizibeth has a single stone next to the obelisk for Bluford and 2 of his wives Elizeneth (1836-1870) "wife of B. Griffin" and Elizabeth M. (1818-1896) "late wife of B. Griffin".
Thanks for any help.

Thank you for the tip on the birthplace. I did a little more research and found his marriage record which confirmed what you suggested. Correction made. Thanks again!

Interesting data you sent ... don't know why the date on the stone is June 17, 1914 ... two thoughts...

Stones are sometimes placed months, even years after someone dies and family may not agree on the exact date - - if known at all

And second - - Doctors make mistakes as well ... January 1915 - - wow that's 6 months after the supposed date of death ..

Pretty interesting - - and a mystery that may not be solvable..

RE: James and Arthur Deckard
Hi Patrick,

There are 2 other Deckard memorials that you created who are relatives of mine; Katherine F. Pfeiffer Deckard & Elva Deckard and if you would not mind transferring to me I would be honored to maintain them as well. I would like to care for their memorials so I may enhance the Deckard Find A Grave memorials with family bio's & further details for future generations to come. Again I really appreciate your generous consideration towards allowing family to maintain memorials of their ancestors. Please let me know how I may ever return the kindness as it volunteers like yourself that make Find A Grave such a great endeavor & resource for making lost family connections possible. Thank you!

Best Regards,

Yes Sir you are correct. Thank you very much for the transfers and more importantly for your efforts in documenting and creating many of the Deckard family memorials in Hardin County, KY as it is greatly appreciated and we are indebted to you!

Hi Patrick,

James Deckard is my Grand Uncle and I would welcome the honor to maintain his memorial if you would not mind the transfer into my care. Thank you for the kind consideration.
