Memorial #7818732 - You very kindly posted a photo in the Highland Cemetery. I don't know how long ago that was but am in hopes you can answer a question. Because of the distance of the stone, I'm thinking it is not the stone for James Raner but as shot of the area where he was buried. I'm inclined to think this may be the case because of the circumstances at his death. He was estranged from his 5 living [of 11] children and his death certificate stated he was senile. He actually had a burial section large enough for several plots in McPherson, but records indicate no one was buried there. At any rate I appreciate your posting and would like to make a notation if I am correct.

Thank you for any help you can give me - Marji

I finally got over there to fill your requests. Several of the stones are broken, missing or illegible but I got what I could for you.

RE: Edwards Family grave locations

The Oklahoma History center is in the process of digitizing their old microfilmed newspapers. Some are searchable here:

Be sure to check frequently to see new newspapers and dates added.

I cannot help you with the Antlers cemetery.

May I use the monument photo that you contributed to the Find A Grave memorial for Granville Willey, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? (
Although a native of New Hampshire, he was credited to Vermont for his Civil War service, enlisted at Fair Haven, Vermont, and serving in the 2nd N.Y. Cavalry, the 11th Pa. Cavalry, and the USN.
You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration. Deanna French
