|Dan Smothers||Children Earl Smothers(# 24165736) & Julia Iverson|
the information on the children is a little off here, #5 & #6 are listed as separate but are the same person according to the attached information, that person would be my aunt Sandy Smothers who was first married to a Williamson and then later to a loomis, #4 Beverly Smothers was never married or had a spouse, the Severson name attached behind her name as a spouse is actually my mother who is married to Jim Smothers who would be #5 on that list, there should be nothing behind Beverlys name for spouse, #5 should read "living Smothers + Severson" and #6 should read "living Smothers + Williamson + Loomis"

When I came across this memorial, I laughed so hard I cried.
Are you serious? Surely, there were names on smaller stones in front of the big stone, or names on the back of the stone.
I don't think a memorial for "BIG STONE LANEY" is really appropriate or helpful. Especially as the "BIG STONE" has neither a birth or death date.
If you have any other information it would be really helpful to Laney researchers. If not, then maybe the memorial should be deleted.

FYI, You created a duplicate memorial for her. Best Regards, Kevin Jackson
Thank you so much for the picture! I appreciate you!
|C & D Lund||Walter and Opal Blencoe|
First I want to thank you for making a memorial for my great uncle and aunt! I was so glad to find them along with other family members. You have added great information for my family research. Could you please transfer Walter and Opal Blencoe to my care? 28513208.
Thank you Debbie

Please remove this entry it is a duplicate of my 2015 entry for the same gravestone. August and Wilhelmina were my great grand parents.

I'm trying to locate this cemetery so a map can be added for it here on Find A Grave. I noticed you've taken photos there, and I was wondering if you have GPS coordinates, an address, or any other information about where it is located.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

William J. Quackenbush (this one) was my great-grandfather. He was not a son of this couple.
His parents were William Quackenbush and Helen Smith, who are buried in Melrose Cemetery, Melrose, Jackson, Wisconsin.
The memorial for William J. Quackenbush in Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland, jackson, Oregon is also in error. Most of the children of William J. Quackenbush moved to the Rogue Valley in southern Oregon, and are buried in many different cemeteries here.
There are many trees on Ancestry.com that are in error. If you want to check a correct tree go to the tree "Quackenbush Family in America" by Gale Quackenbush. He also wrote a book of 900 pages of the same name as the tree. He is considered the expert on this family in America.
I have contacted owners of all the trees on ancestry. Unfortunatly, many of the do not care if the information is correct or not. And that is a real shame for future researchers.
If you wish to correspond by email - -
