Bio

I've been ancestor hunting since 2005. I particularly enjoy linking the histories of my ancestors with pictures of them, their families, gravestones, and places where they lived.
The family names I have been tracing include: Harris, Kaveney, Handley, Slagle, Reed, Talkington, Taylor, Acock, Blanchett, Bland, Morefield, Stevens, Henderson, Barger, Wiseman, Armentrout, Cockrell, Logan, Vardeman, Hardin, Ellis.
Most of my ancestors have been in America since the early 1700s. Many lines worked their way west in VA, then moved to NC, KY and TN, pushed farther west to MO and AR and finally went by wagon train to CA. Several other lines arrived in PA and migrated west to VA, WV, OH and from there by wagon train to MO and then CA or by train to WA or ship to AK.
