I was born August 29, 1943 in Powell, Wyoming. I joined the US Navy in 1963 and spent 2 years in Southeast Asia in the Philippines and Vietnam. I then attended the U of Colorado for a year and a half under the NESEP program and was then transfered to Europe for 4 years, stationed at Rota, Spain. After that I was sent to Washington D.C. for 4 years. At that time I retired and attended Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma, where I attained a BS in Mortuary Science. I owned and operated two funeral homes, one in Moline, Kansas, and the other in Sedan, Kansas, for 26 years. I retired from the business in 2001. I am currently residing in Wichita, Kansas, and am an accountant for Wal Mart Corp.|
I am married, the father of two daughters. I have traced my ancestry back several centuries and am still in the process of chasing down my brickwalls.
As a former funeral director, I find cemeteries fascinating and love to contemplate past lives and histories of the families there.
I am more than happy to make corrections and add relationship links but am curtailing (not stopping) transferring memorials due to growing misunderstanding of what Find A Grave is about by those discovering the site for the first time. The time members have put into their efforts working together and sharing information is not up for grabs based on same-name surname or lineage and I will not do any of these type of transfers.

May I ask where you got the information about Joseph Phillips? He is my granddaughters paternal ancestor. I find it odd that he's buried in Derby and died in Mulvane. One source I found listed his death in Mulvane, Sumner County, Kansas. Since I live in Wichita, Kansas, I'm curious.

As you can see from the Find A Grave Memorial that the parents that are listed are born after Russell was born. I have his parents and have put in a request.
|Rochelle Vogel||Transfer Memorial|
Hello! I was wondering if you would transfer a memorial to me. The deceased is my great aunt. Her name is Alta M Hueller and the memorial # is 40173036. I would appreciate it, thank you!
Hi, I could not locate a headstone for Celia but I did find a death notice in the local paper (the Livingston Enterprise). I added it to her memorial page 89542673

Love your work! Minor spelling issue here. Middle name on your record should be Katharine.
|Kristy Norman||Minnie Wagner & Minnie Wagner Costin|
These two memorials are for the same person. Minnie Wagner (14802784) is in Addition 1, Block 34, Lot 2, Space 4 and Minnie Wagner Costin (14533385) is the same exact spot. Thanks!

I am glad you did it. I didn't even know how to find him. I am his second cousin. My grandma use to keep in touch with him andbhis sisters and since she has passed it has been hard trying to find everyone.
|Toby Graves-Ridall||Donald Fernandes|
Was wondering if you knew him or was related to him to put his info on here?
|Kriste Ryan||Alida & Alma Brace Find A Grave Memorial# 18524125|
Hi Del -
First I would like to thank you for your work creating memorials!
I do have a correction for you regarding Alida & Alma Brace. These two are sisters, not spouses. (daughters of William Henry Brace and Jane Elizabeth Sutherland ). You can find the family relationship in the 1880 US Census (Alida's name is misspelled Elida & Alma is listed as Almy).
Thank you again for your wonderful work here!
