Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in Genealogy all my life. I had a grandmother McDonald who loved to tell stories, and I really loved to hear them I got serious about family History in 1969 when we moved from CA back home to KS and I could visit with some of the great aunts & Uncles.
I had a Bonesbuddy who loved to travel with me. We have been from coast to coast tracking bones...Now it seems everything is on computer however I still love to get out and go to libraries, court house's and cemeteries. Now my Bonesbuddy is on Find a grave I shall always miss her. My daughter Julee is also on find a grave, this way I can visit any time day or night.
I am enjoying working with find a grave. I had three children, four grandchildren and Six great grands. I love every one of them and hope some decide to carry on with the genealogy.
If you find mistakes please let me know via Edit.
After all I am only human and fast becoming an OLD Human.

RE: #117386722 Sarah Reynolds
Yes it is very confusing. The headstones I photographed are all right next to each other though. Nazro, Sarah, and Azile. Sarah's says wife of Nazro, died in 1855. Nazro's is hard to read, it looks like it says born May 1834, died 1868 or 1888. Azile's says 1868-1946. I tried searching records to piece these three together but none of the information really adds up or makes sense.

I'm not sure what the best course of action is honestly. I will message the person who holds the other memorial for Sarah and see if they have anymore information on her.

Are you sure this is the correct headstone for Sarah Reynolds? I found her headstone and her daughter Azile's headstone in Riverside Cemetery in Moline Illinois. There is another memorial for Sarah Reynolds here #102638014. You'll see that the headstone says wife of Nazro Reynolds.

RE: Joshua Rickman
Laura Judd Bailey, wife of Franklin Bailey. I was looking into the Bailey lines"
Franklin was Laura's father. He was son of 1799 Mass Elizabeth. She as wife of Issaac Bailey, born Vt.
Elizabeth's children were confused with children of Elizabeth Dauhterly b1804 Georgia.
To establish the existence of the mistakes, I spent a lot of time dissecting the lines.
Again thank you for the help

RE: Joshua Rickman
Thank you for your work on this. There are two Elizabeths b 1799, the other 1804...commonly associated with Samuel Barber Bailey. The children were all mixed up. I had to look at whole families to figure out relationships. There is much confusion in genealogies. It is genealogists like you who are listening to the records. I am thankful you questioned my edit. I need that.
Thank you for your work.

Grace Mae Fox Macklin
June hello! I just love your Bio! I am contacting you about Memorial # 60568043 of Grace Mae Fox Macklin. I am looking for family of hers. I have a picture and Obit of her dad Orn Fox that I have picked up in a antique shop and I am trying to return it to the family. I was wondering if you could help me? Thanks so much for your time, Veda

Ellsworth Ecord
June, I noticed that under Ellsworth and Theodosia Ecord's Find a Grave notes there is a sixth child listed from their marriage as "Roy." I cannot find any reference to him in any other records I have searched. Do you know anything about this family? Ellsworth is my great great uncle. -- Kathy Travis

RE: Sarah Dry Hibert
Thanks so much. While possible, it is doubtful someone closer will come along. My paternal grandmother was nee Dry and my maternal was nee Hilbert. Both from the same village of Dryville, Berks Pa. This is the first marriage of the two famlies for which I am aware, other than my parents.
Bless you

RE: Hamp
We are related, but distantly. I'm descended from Jacob & Ivey Rosanna's third son David; they are my 4x great grandparents. It was quite a discovery to learn when the Hamp book came out that we lived only 10 miles from the original homestead in northwestern Ohio. We visited their graves in Ai, Ohio, which is just across the road from their homestead. There is a brick house on that site, but it was built after the Hamps had left the area.

Definitely check the Hamp hunters site. You should be able to get lots of info from it.

RE: Hamp
Hi June, Have you looked at the book "The Roots and Branches of Jacob Hamp?" (emigrated to northwestern Ohio in the 1820's, originally from Germany) Also check out the online Hamp hunters, derived from the book. Robert Hamp, the author, is my great-uncle. The main contact for the hunters is listed as Patricia Hamp - she worked with Robert to update the book a few years ago and is very knowledgeable about the family history and connections.

I don't believe that I'm directly related to a Rebecca Hamp, but there is quite an extended family from Jacob Hamp's sons - 5 or 6 I think, who then each had many children. My great- grandfather, Michael Ernest Hamp, was one of 8 children.

Good Luck & keep me posted,
