Bio and Links
Bio Photo As a result of researching my family tree I became addicted to the family cemetery in Anderson County, Kansas. The Sutton Valley Cemetery had its first burial in 1859.
I try to focus my interest on the descendants of John Benjamin Sutton and his wife Mercy Ann (Cutler) Sutton.
Photos of the early settlers and families in Sutton Valley are of major value to me.

Please inform me of errors in information I have submitted to Findagrave.

Elizabeth South Warren
Hi Philip - Is there any way you could add Sarah Hall and Henry South's daughter Find A Grave Memorial# 60381723 (Elizabeth South Warren) to her memorial. Elizabeth was married to Hardy Warren - they moved out west to Washington Territory in the 1880's from Washington County, Arkansas. Their daughter was my GG-Grandmother - Louisa Warren Simpson who married James Franklin Simpson. I know these families are all intertwined with the Suttons from their times in Missouri - then to Kansas and beyond.

Anyhow, would be grateful for the add!

Thank you,
Mark McCullough - GGGG Grandson of Sarah Hall.

PS - is there any concrete evidence that Sarah was the daughter of Levi Hall and Nancy Hanks?

Solomon Newton
I received an e-mail stating that a photo had been uploaded to Solomon Newton. When I clicked on the picture, it says "Birdie A. Sponsler." Can you explain? Thank you.

RE: Thank you very much
You're right! However she was already in her mid-50's when he passed, so I don't know how common that would be to remarry. The problem with her is that she uses both Amelia and Anna as her first name, throwing off any searches for her.

RE: Thank you very much
Wow! Thank you so much. I never even knew when he died. I had narrowed it down to 1913-1915, so that works and his wife was Amelia but she must have moved elsewhere after Adelbert passed. I really appreciate all of your hard work. Thank you!

Thank you very much
I know you couldn't find a headstone, but I really appreciate your efforts and I still appreciate seeing the footstone that is still standing. Thank you! You don't remember seeing his wife Anna Amelia buried nearby did you? She is missing too...

RE: Paradise family
According to my records Isaac Taylor was the 3rd child of Isaac and Mary, James Henry was the 7th child, and Julia was the 9th child. I think James Henry and his wife Sarah Ola Nofsinger are buried in Baldwin City, Kansas, maybe at the Baker Cemetery. I have a cousin who can probably confirm that. I have some info on Isaac Taylor, but only a birth year on Julia. If you care to enlighten me, I would appreciate it. Wesley Paradise
