You're welcome glad to help
|Margaret Gunn||RE: Patrick Duffy, 21907530|
Hi, Sorry it has taken a couple of days to answer. Somewhere in my stacks of papers I think there is a copy of the death certificate. I was working on my Duffy line (maternal) and snatched any Duffy information that I found. I still haven't figured out if Patrick is in my line yet. The Duffy's seemed to have only a few first names they used. (Patrick, William, Thomas, and Martin)so it is hard to sort them all out.
I found the death cert on www.familysearch.com website.

|John Glassford||regarding Abbott Street Burial Ground Beverly, Mass.|
Let me explain to you what I did at Abbott Street Burial Ground so you will have a better idea of how to proceed in locating the grave of your ancestor Hannah Brown Rea, the first wife of John Rea. First let me say that who is actually buried there at Abbott Street is not known in full by any means. I documented the cemetery on FindAGrave per the graveyard plot maps and names list one-by-one. If a name was on the list but there was no stone extant I created the memorial and stated that fact on the website. Even on the existing list several lines are listed as "unknown, illegible".
There are many empty patches all over the grounds where graves may exist. At one point in history Abbott Street was put right thru the middle of the cemetery and some graves were "supposedly" moved (to Central Cemetery I believe) further complicating things. This cemetery even with the map and list was extremely difficult to photo document. It was my biggest challenge in graving to date and i have been thru it all. LOL!
Hannah Brown Rea may well in fact be interred at Abbott Street Burying Ground or elsewhere in Beverly, maybe even on a farm. I suggest contacting the Beverly City Hall (cemetery division) or go to my FindAGrave page and on my friends list click on Dan Driscoll. He may be able to be of some help to you as he volunteers at Beverly City Hall.
I looked at the memorials that have been transferred to you and I like the way your are maintaining (and not just collecting) them and the fact that you are developing them nicely. You may ask for more transfers if you'd like if you have beneficial information to share.

re: Memorial# 93931323
I have added the info you provided and transferred the subject memorial to your care now that I have your member number. I could not locate you on FindAGrave with the last correction you sent me because you were not logged in and I did not know your member name.
This is the info you provided for crosscheck:
Lucy was the daughter of Ichabod and Deborah (Cox) Groves. She was baptized, married and buried in Beverly, MA. /// Her husband Joseph's lineage was: Joseph 6, Joseph 5, Gideon 4, John 3, Joshua 2, Daniel 1). Daniel was the original Ray immigrant circa 1630. /// Lucy and John have not been identified with any children.///source: Vol 1, pg 42, #113
I do not usually transfer memorials beyond FindAGrave rules including distant ancestors that have thousands of descendants and you can read about that on my FindAGrave page near the bottom. I do not do mass transfers of a surname so please do not ask, but I do not mind making transfers to folks who have a significant amount of data to add to a memorial weather it be an ancestor or not.
