Bio and Links
Bio Photo GENEALOGY has been in my life for over 50 years. Putting Madison County graves and photos on Findagrave is my personal goal. Findagrave is an awesome database. If you are close kin to anyone whose grave I photographed/memorialized and wish to "manage it" please notify me. I will ask for your relationship so have your genealogy handy. Corrections and/or additions are also appreciated. I also welcome any additional information about infant graves.(i.e. who are/were their parents)
Hoping this site has aided you in your genealogy.:)

Thank you so much for your email. My husband's Dad was born in Yoakum, still has lots of kin there. His Aunt Mildred Newsom Hoch's parents and many of her family are in Hebron. I am sad to hear that the storm hit it. Aunt Mildred was an only child and had only one daughter, who died about 6 months after her parents. Aunt Mildred was 94 when she died, and her cousins that we knew have all passed away. I wish I knew someone to call about Hebron. I will delete my duplicate memorial. Most likely some of Bill's family knew your Aunt Maude. His gggrandfather was Valentin Hoch, who had the Old Stage Coach in....some of his girls married into the Schwabs, and Steens to name a few...He was also kin to the Jaegers who married into the Edgars. Thank you again for letting me know about Hebron.

for John Thomas Longbotham

This is my 2 great-grandfather. I am proud to have proven him to be a DRT Daughters of the Republic of Texas Patriot. He did not have a middle name, and there are a few other things I need to change on this memorial - also I'm sure there is no tombstone that was placed (ever).

Would you please consider giving this memorial to me for safe-keeping and fixing?

I sure would appreciate it.

Thank you for the information. I'm a bit confused though.
(The memorial we created) was in 2008 whereas the duplicate one was created in 2010. The 2010 memorial should be deleted. Thanks.

RE: Sarah Surma
Hi Melody,
I'm sorry about the delay in getting the edits done for Sarah Stevens Surma. I haven't been on the site a lot lately. The edits have been entered. I'm not sure when the memorial got transferred to me; I would usually have done the edits at that time.
Sarah is the sister of my GG-Grandmother, Fidelia Bertha Stevens Glass.
One note, Matthew Surma was Sarah's third husband from what I've been able to find, but neither of them has a memorial here. I don't have much information about either of them, but I'll be happy to provide what I have if you're interested.

Nanie Isgitt & Verona Isgitt
Nanie Isgitt, memorial 60262798, & Verona Isgitt, memorial 60262799, were my 1st cousins from my mother's Byrd family.

If they were not members of your family, would you please consider transferring their memorials to me?
I would transfer their memorials if I receive a request from a closer family member.

Thank you, Carolyn (47384868)

Additions and corrections
Hi, Melody!
Thank you for your hard and tedious work. I was contacted by my cousin Randy Parten this evening to help him find info about our Parten relatives. My Grandmother is Alice Parten Colwell... Below you will find a listing of the Parten kids not in the Madisonville Cemetery. What Randy wants to do is make memorial stones for those siblings buried elsewhere. He asked me to find the info regarding the NM crew... I found more.

The oldest daughter of Wayne L. Parten and Ella May Brooks Parten was Agnes Emma Parten Brown... then came Lizzie Leonard.. followed by Lucy Wayne Parten Byers, Malcolm Parten Cone, Elizabeth "Bessy Betty" Parten Neer, J.R. Parten (Jubal Richard), Mary Grace Parten Thomas, Alice Cleo Parten Colwell, Sam William Parten, and Ella Susan "Bob" Parten Basland.

I saw you didn't have all of these names. Also, Alice and Nathan Ulma Colwell have two children. The oldest being Mary Annette Colwell Garrett (my mother). My mom and dad are buried in San Antonio, Texas at the Veteran's cemetery at Ft. Sam Houston. Wayne Lafayette's father;s name is Asa... not Acey. I know that was another woman. I probably shared more than you need... but I hope it helps. Again, sincerely, Thank You for all of your hard work.
