William Hartley
Re your entry for William Hartley, buried in St John's, Adel graveyard. I have a booklet about Adel men who died in WWI. This says he was born in 1885, with a twin sister Sarah Ann. Parents were George and Elizabeth (nee Slater). His wife was Eva (m1910), also of Adel. They lost a 4 day old son in 1910, but had another, William Ford, in 1913. The 1911 census has him living in Adel Grange Cottage, working as a chauffeur. 23440 1st Class Air Mechanic, RAF. Died of wounds.

RE: JOHN MACUDA
YES. I TOLD THEM THEY COULD LOOK AT JOHN MACUDA AND I BELIEVE HE WAS THE SAME AS JAN MACUDA. I HOPE THEY WILL DELETE THEIR PHOTO REQUEST TOO. IT WAS THE ONLY PHOTO REQUEST. PROBABLY A LOT OF GRAVES WITHOUT STONES. I DO NOT KNOW WHERE JOHN'S WIFE IS BURIED OR IF SHE CAME OVER TO AMERICA. I DID NOT PURSUE HER. HE WAS A WIDOWER IN THE 1900 CENSUS. ANGELINA

JOHN MACUDA
I ADDED MORE INFO TO HIS LISTING AND LINKED HIM TO HIS DAUGHTER FOR ACCEPTANCE. ALSO, ADDED HIS DAUGHTER'S MAIDEN FOR ACCEPTANCE. MAYBE THE 2007 ORIGINATOR WILL DELETE HIS LISTING SINCE MY LISTING HAS MORE INFO AND A PICTURE. IF NOT WE CAN MERGE. ANYTHING IS FINE WITH ME AS LONG AS ALL THE INFO ON JOHN IS SAVED. GLAD TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN. I FINISHED THE ORPHAN TRAIN RIDER BOOK AND NOW TRYING TO GET IT PROOFED BEFORE PRINTING. ANGELINA

JAN OR JOHN MACUDA
STRONG PROBABILITY THEY ARE THE SAME PERSON. I WILL CHECK FOR A DEATH CERTIFICATE OR DEATH INDEX TO MAKE SURE. COULD BE A SON TOO. IN 2007, THE CONTRIBUTOR LISTED THE NAME BUT NOT THE PICTURE SO HE MIGHT HAVE WORKED OFF A DEATH CERTIFICATE. I HAVE SOME IMMIGRATION BOOKS TOO. WILL GET BACK, ANGELINA
