Bio Photo Please feel free to take any photos that I attach and upload them to your family tree. You do not need to ask my permission or credit me for the photograph.

I live in South Yorkshire in England and am willing to look for graves etc in the local area.

I am trying to make a full record of the cemeteries I live near and am using local history records to add in the details for headstones which I cannot read or are missing. I started this when tracing my own family tree and my aim is to help anyone tracing their family. I do not want to upset anyone, so if anyone wants me to remove or transfer memorials please let me know.

Tip (Copied from England Discussion Forum):
To do a search for cemetery or churchyard in a particular county go to cemetery search and begin with a full search for all in England. Find-A-Grave will say that there are too many records and that you should go back and refine the search so that it returns fewer results. Ignore this and in the address bar at the top of the screen, where the url reads:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=csr&CScn=&CScntry=5&CSst=0 replace the 0 at the end with one of the following codes. There may still be several pages of cemeteries in the list for the county, but it is easier to look through

Grave of James William Riggs
Thank you so much for finding the grave and sending the photograph of my husbands step brother. James William died before my husband was born and he was named James after him. it means a great deal to us to see the grave.

Thank you

Thank you for doing this. It is great that we could trace details of another ancestor that some of the family knew little about, and add a face to the name and details. Too many have been forgotten. Regards. Brian Gallagher.

Thank you Charlie for fulfilling this photo request so promptly. It is incredibly special to have this photograph, it will be shared with family members in the hope that as soon as the opportunity arises, one of us will be able to get there personally to pay our respects. You do a wonderful service for folk like us on the other wide of the world, huge thanks and kindest regards.

Thank you so much for putting a photo of Jo's gravestone on the web site. It means such a lot to the family and will be there for all of us to see. Jo was my Mum's cousin and born roundabout the same time. We lost her last year at nearly 95 and even though she said she wanted to go to the grave she never managed it unfortunately. Thank you for all you do

Thank you
What a wonderful and generous thing you are doing. I am delighted to have been able to add the photo of my grandmother's gravestone to my family tree. Her son, my father, and all our family live on the other side of the world but now we can visit her grave. Thank you so much :)

Thomas Ernest Knott
Many thanks for uploading the image of my Great, Great Uncle, Thomas Ernest Knott's [1909-1944] headstone. As he is interred at Cassino, Provincia di Frosinone, Lazio in Italy, I would have been unable to afford the trip to pay my respects and acknowledge his sacrifice. Keep up the good work.
