RE: Rebecca Lewis Perkins
KT, my listing for Joseph Lewis (18470830 ) did not allow me to remove Rebecca Lewis Perkins as his daughter. Since I was not the one who listed this Joseph as her father, whoever created the listing for Rebecca must have created the link to the wrong Joseph as her father.
Sorry I couldn't help, --Lorna

RE: New Pic of John Cannon
Kate,
We had problems in getting a stone replaced at Waterford cemetery. The cemetery would not receive the stone and we had to have it sent to a monument company to have it set.
Seems some cemeteries will receive and set the military stones and others won't. Hope you can get this accomplished.

Is there anyone or agency you want me to check with?
You must have a lot of documentation as I know the V A won't change things easily. I have found other errors on these military stones.

RE: New Pic of John Cannon
I photographed the stone that is in the New Richmond cemetery and posted it. It looks to me like it is the same stone that was there previously. Also a Spanish American War marker at the grave site. Let me know what you want me to do. Who have you been dealing with concerning this. Perhaps the revised marker just hasn't been placed.

Will check on this soon. Had checked awhile back and the old one was still there but haven't checked since. Thanks for the reminder.

photo requests in St. Patrickís at Watervliet, NY
Hello, this cemetery does not have a notebook where one can find names to find where they are buried. Have you contacted the St. Patrickís cemetery folks for a map indicating where the burial plots? If you could ask them (google) this week and ask for a pdf file of the map showing the plots where your persons are; you can email that file with the plot# so I can use it to find their burial and take a photo of the marker if it exists. I have a short window next week so hope to find it with your map information. Send a reply when you have the maps and Iíll send my email id so you can forward it. Thanks. Patty

St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet, NY
I see that you have several photo requests for this cemetery. I'd be glad to try to find the graves and take the photos for you but I would need at least the Section numbers. The cemetery is much too large to search the whole thing. Hope I can help.

RE: John Cannon pic
I'll remove the picture. This cemetery is not far from me so will keep an eye on this.

RE: David Crowell message
I am loading the files to a Google Drive so that you can have the larger versions. These photos are all taken at Cold Harbor National Cemetery. I took a photo of the grave register book available at the cemetery. David Crowell was not listed. The monument is for all those in the NY militias who died at Cold Harbor. The photo of the home and cemetery is across the street from the CH cemetery. The Garthright Home was used as a hospital during the Civil War. To the left in the woods there are earthworks. Battles took place in the fields. Many bodies were not recovered... or, when they were recovered, there was no identification. I included a headstone for a fallen Union soldier..... The battlefields for Cold Harbor are quiet expansive here in Hanover County VA. We had two brothers from PA who fought here --- they both became prisoners of war shortly afterwards. Strange that we are now living here!! Hanover County saw more action than almost any other county in the US..... we have tons of Civil War and Revolutionary sites and I encourage you to visit sometime. We are about 15 minutes from Richmond, VA.

Let me know if you can access this folder. It has multiple photos in it!
