Born in Northeast Kansas, living in Niagara Falls have always been interested in Family History.|
I enter records here on Find A Grave to help others find the graves of lost family members. If you'd like me to update any memorials please use the SAC (Send a Correction) option and I'll address them as quickly as possible.
I hope the work I do- helps others, and really appreciate work others do to help my research projects.

I am working with the Cemetery Manager of Mt Olivet Cemetery in Anaconda. He advises they only have a Mary Harrington who was buried in 1967. Could this be your person?

THROUGH THE ICE
Young Leavenworth Society People Drowned While Skating
Leavenworth, Kansas, February 12 - Yesterday afternoon a party consisting of Grace Phillips, stepdaughter of Judge Ide; Susie B. Anthony, daughter of Colonel D. R. Anthony; Harry Jewett, son of M. M. Jewett and Edwin Pierce, son of C. B. Pierce, left the high school building for the purpose of having an hour's recreation in skating on a pond on the farm of J. C. Stone, Jr., four miles south of the city. They had no more than entered upon the enjoyment of the occasion and had hardly reached the middle of the pond when the ice gave way and all four were thrown into the water. Susie Anthony and young Pierce immediately sand and were dead before aid reached them. Young Jewett and Miss Phillips were rescued, but not until they were thoroughly chilled and their lives for some hours were despaired of, but the latest information is that they are now out of danger.

Find A Grave is a database of information, and a database is made up of structured parts: names, dates, places. Previous married names are not middle names, they are not maiden names, and they are not last names. Birth names of Religious are not nicknames and they are not middle names. This type of information belongs in the bio area and NOT in the structured fields. It is a simple system, and the rules are easy to follow.
Your failure to conform your memorials to Find A Grave rules causes unnecessary effort on the part of other contributors as well as management, who must pick up the pieces when you corrupt the database by insist on "your way" and not the "right way".
This will be the last time I explain these points. I am following the rules .... you are abusing them. You decide which side you're on.

I see you have several requests at this cemetery. If you would call the cemetery and get the locations for me and send them to me, I will gladly get them for you. This cemetery only gives out to family and I am now too well known there to call of go into the to the office. I go there every week and would love to get them done. James
