Bio Photo (Updated Apr 15, 2017)

Greetings and welcome to the new year :)

It's been a while since I've updated my profile... haven't been doing much aside from work and staying out of the weather :)

Even though I no longer live in Atchison Co (KS), I still keep an eye on the cemeteries there, and once in a while make a trip up there to see what photos I can get at Mt Vernon, Oak Hill, Sunset Memory Gardens, or Sugar Creek over in Rushville (MO). I have certain access or contacts that help me with information for these cemeteries.

I can only do this once in a while as I only have 1 car and our schedules don't allow a lot of free 'travel' time (and the gas to go with it :( )

If someone needs some information, or photos, from any of those cemeteries, you are more than welcome to place a Photo Request (as long as you have a plot location for Mt Vernon). I or someone else who works Atchison will try to get your photos at some point in the future.

Have a great year :)

A good portion of Douglas County (KS) looks to have been photographed, but there is always room for help :)

If anyone needs to contact me about any of my previous work (or info that was on my profile before), please feel free to email me.

Have a great year :)

Hello Franz,

Sounds like the same person. The information I uploaded was from:

I did not actually go out to this cemetery to check this info against the headstone. I transfered the memorial to you so you may make necessary corrections.

Thank you for sending edits for Mr. Heckman.
I do not know where 1915 came from either.
I had this memorial plus others transferred to me.
I am going to transfer Mr. Heckman to you since he is a part of your family.
Thank you for the kind words and you have a good weekend also.

Thank you for all you do.

The picture request for Lewis and Margaret Kew relate to the following plots in Mt Vernon Cemetery:

Section K, Block 23, Lot 2, Grave 11 and Grave 12

Section K is the farthest section in the south part of the cemetery facing Warnock Lake. The Kews are in about the middle of the section.

If memory serves me right, I came across Porter in old newspaper, couldn't make out the first name. At the present time I haven't found any other papers with the same death notice. But Thank you for letting me know of the names potter, that's something I will look into. Thank you and have a blessed day.

Bruyere @ StL Calvary

Sorry but they are not marked, but others in the lot are marked. Please see the caption for lot information.

And it does seem that there might have been a name spelling change at some point, or they might not have been able to read the hand writing. And for this cemetery that is a Definite possibility.
