What a wonderful web site to find family and also to assist others in finding their family!

I would appreciate any corrections/updates be sent to me through the Edit tab (Suggest a Correction) on the memorial. If you would like anyone of your relatives transferred to you please just let me know and I will be more than happy to transfer them to you as long as I am not related!! But, please don't ask me for an out of guideline transfer if you do not transfer out of guidelines. And, please do not ask for any transfers if you have nothing to add to the memorial and only want family links done.

Please do not post any of my photos that I've added to Find a Grave to any other web site without first asking me for permission.

Some of the families I am researching on my side of the family: Rist, Neff, Gregson, Dehn, Dixon, Reheis, Fauss, Schlemmer, Herold, Roth, Ebert, Wachtel, Proctor & Staufenbiel (mostly from Monroe & St. Clair Counties in IL).

Some of the families I'm researching on my husband's side of the family: Deason, Ray, Thompson, Griggs, Huckaba, Burton & Knox (mostly from Wayne & Lawrence Counties in TN & Texas).

RE: Ganahls at Calvary L.A.
You're welcome!
Had Hubert died in Los Angeles county I would be able to look up his death certificate and see where he is buried. But according to rootsweb, he died in Riverside county. The only way to know what his final disposition was, is to order his death certificate from Riverside county- Assessor-County clerk- Recorder:

Hi Peggy,

I found Cecile Ganahl along with others in the family plot(photos coming soon!) I have editing to do. I have a feeling(more of an opinion) that Hubert may be in a different cemetery, since they didn't find any records also the other thing that jumps out at me is that all the graves around the family monument are already occupied. I thought that there was an outside chance that Hubert could be interred with one of the later burials (After 1960) because that cemetery only allowed single depth graves until 1960. But since there was no record of Hubert, it kind of points to the question: When was that family plot was purchased? I'd bet that all the graves were purchased about the same time or not long after the first one were purchased.

Ganahls at Calvary L.A.
Hello,
If you can call Calvary Cemetery (323)261-3106 for the grave locations I will get the photos for you! Do not email because they Probably will not reply. I would call for you but Since I am probably the only regular active volunteer there I have made many many calls to them for locations and they are very annoyed with me.

Levinna Eckert, d. 1856
Lavina is family spelling. She was both born and died in 1856 according to family records. When I was at Walnut Hill noted her stone was hard to read. Thanks!
