Ursula Retterer: Find A Grave Memorial# 66633778
I did not see the memorial you created for my great, great grandmother (Find A Grave Memorial# 87967189) before I created one. I linked her to her husband and children. I don't know if there's a way to combine them, but it might create less confusion.

Thanks for all the work at the Long Grove Cemetery.

RE: Peter Popp

It could be either the church records have a typo or they made a mistake on the headstone. Not sure at this point.

It's kinda crazy the stuff that goes on with old markers. I found my great great great grandfather headstone but according to the church records his body isn't there, just his two wives. I'm still working on trying to figure out where the body actually is.

Kindest Regards,

Peter Popp

I am grateful for the photo of the stone but I think the engraving is in error.

I have contacted the Long Grove Church and according to their records on file there is a discrepancy.

Their records show he died on 2 May 1889 and was buried on 4 May 1889.

The stone shows death as 20 May.

Would you please add a note to the file regarding this? He is my Great Great Great Grandfather

Kindest Regards

Johanna Sutton Renehan
Can you transcribe or post a better pic for Johanna Sutton Renehan #76109024? Can't read all the info for the 4 people on the Renehan marker shown.
Any indication of her parents? I am not convinced Johanna is sister to my GG Grandmother here in MN.

Salome Horneger Herschberger
Do you know anything about this woman, her family, her cause of death, etc. I believe this woman is family, just not sure how yet. I followed the link to her husband. I am looking for a Salome Herschberger who vanished in 1861 or 1862 on her way back to visit relatives in Lake County, Ill. The woman i am looking for info on was my gg grandfathers first wife.

Friederich D. Gieseke
I was wondering if you know where I can get any further information on Friederich D. Gieseke and Maria Sophia Branse Gieseke buried in the Long Grove Cemetery? My maiden name is Gieseke and I am wondering if this is my great grandfather's brother and wife. Also there is an entry for Friedrich Gieseke, husband of Louise Broning, but no marker at the same cemetery.
My grandfather is Friedrich D. Gieseke, born 1857,died 1919 and on Find-a-grave also, buried at St. Peter's cemetery in Arlington Heights.
Any information or where I can find records would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Hanish headstone photo

May I use your headstone photo for Ernest and Gertrude Hanish on my Ancestry page for each of them? Thanks.

Hi Ron,
We respectfully request permission to use Mary's cemetery marker photo in our personal tree. Mary is Bruce's cousin and the photo will make a great addition to our tree.

Thanks for your consideration.
