Donna Burkert Grothaus; born and resided in Northwestern Ohio until 1969. Since have lived in Washington state. My interest in genealogy stems from a passionate love of family & history. Eight generations of our family have resided on property our German ancestors settled on in the 1850's. My quest to learn more about our families began at an early age and blossomed in the 1970's after learning about the availability of records. I have pursued (more accurately been obsessed) with discovering each of our ancestors, their families, places they lived & history of the time periods.
