I became interested in my family's history a few years ago. It has only been within the past couple of years that I have actually been able to pick up where my aunt left off. |
I was really excited when I found Find-A-Grave. I think it is a wonderful way to connect and remember those who are no longer with us on this earth.
When requesting a transfer, PLEASE give your relationship to the person for which you are requesting the transfer. I honor most requests, but want to know how you are related. Please send these requests through the edit tab under "other suggestions".
If you would like to use any marker photos that I have taken, please feel free to copy them from the full size picture here on Find-A-Grave. My only request is that you list any pertinent info with the photo to help others.
Any family photos I have posted on Find-A-Grave are usually already in Ancestry.com and are not to be copied from Find-a-Grave for any reason. I have added information to the pictures I have posted and get severely irritated when someone copies it and doesn't bother to copy the information. The information is obviously there for a reason.

I want to apologize for requesting twice for the transfer of this memorial. I inadvertently deleted the first copy of the request, and just found it in my "deleted" file of emails. Mea Culpa.

1st-Thanks for the transfer that you made to me this morning!
2nd-I'm not totally clear on your photo policy. Is it OK to copy the MARKER photo, that you took, to our ancestry.com tree? The way I read your guidelines, markers are OK to copy to "Ancestry" but other personal photos(portraits etc.) are not.
Thanks again for the transfer and for all your contributions to Find A Grave.
|KevHenson||descendants of Ellen Johnston (b 1805)|
My research is to publish the 1846 journal of Dr. George B. Sanderson which I transcribed last year.
In 2014, we found Dr. Sanderson's family gravesite had no marker. In early June, we will be placing a marker at Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis.
Dr. Sanderson's wife was Ellen [?] Johnston. We believe she was a widow and had two children by Mr. Johnston prior to marrying Dr. George in 1844 in Platte County, MO.
None of Dr Sanderson and Ellen's children's lines have survived.
All the Johnston step-descendants come through John Elder Johnston (b 1833, Scotland?; d 1904, St Louis).
So - long story short, the Johnston step-children had a good relationship to Dr. George.
We would like to extend an invitation to the extended family to join us to honor George and Ellen Johnston Sanderson on 3 June 2017.
If you would like more information, please contact me at:
This is not a solicitation for anything. We are just historians and interested in the history of the military unit Dr. Sanderson was in.

Thank you so much for getting back with me regarding my mother. I am in search of family members on her side of the family and again, sadly have had no luck. I wish you the best.

I am new to this site and am looking for information regarding my mother's family. I saw that you added the photo of her grave so i was just curious if you knew her. Thank you.
