I have spent many years researching different branches of my family. I think Find a Grave is a great resource and I like to help.

I visit the cemetery and take pictures for all the memorials that I create. I try to take good photos with a good camera -not a cell phone- but it is not always possible because of the conditions, etc., to get a great picture.

If you get a better picture than mine, don't hesitate to let me know and I will remove my picture. I prefer to have only the best photo of a tombstone on the site in order to allow space for family to add family photos if they wish.

If a memorial I have added is part of your family, I will be happy to transfer.

James

When I first signed on as a contributor to findagrave a few days ago in order to correct an error, I didn't anticipate that I would end up maintaining a memorial for one of my maternal great-grandmothers. At first I thought you must be my cousin James, as your photos included members of my family with several different surnames and buried in cemeteries scattered through Lavaca, Fayette and Jackson Counties. I have now completed making all of the links for the members of the family born between the 1860s and 1910s, though not all of the edits have been accepted yet. Thank you very much for initiating memorials and taking great photos so that people can find their lost ancestors and take over maintenance of the memorials to a degree that they all deserve.

Hi! I want to thank you for uploading my husbands great grandparents tombstone. Because of your efforts we have been able to find out where he was buried :) I would like to ask if we can have the memorial transferred to us. His year of death was 1964 in Seguin TX at St James cemetery I believe. Thank you :)
