I have been photographing cemeteries for several years now all over the State of Texas. I am very proud of my southern heritage and proud to be a member of DAR and UDC. I have been doing genealogy research for over 20 years and love every minute of it. I have roots from all over the deep south including South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Texas. I have over 30 confederate ancestors that I have been able to document so far. I have organized several gravemarker dedication ceremonies with the help of the UDC and SCV and placed 6 civil war markers in Texas, Alabama and Florida. I also have a grave cleaning business called Gravestone Solutions.|

|David Foster||Old City Cemetery, Houston|
I notice that you have made several contributions to the Old City Cemetery in Houston. Do you know if there is any listing anywhere of the burials in that cemetery other than what is on Find-A-Grave? I am aware that the cemetery has been destroyed and is no longer visible, but I am specifically looking for the resting place of my great grandfather, Martin Ernst. I have his obituary from the Houston Daily Telegraph newspaper and a copy of his death certificate, showing that he died in 1874. Glenwood Cemetery has no record of him and his death is too early for him to have been buried in either Washington or Hollywood cemeteries. So I can only conclude that he must have been buried in the Old City Cemetery. If I can't find his grave, I would at least like some evidence of where he was buried. I created a Find-A-Grave memorial for him and his Find-A-Grave number is 169733409.

Yes please, thank you so much.

It looks as though the last time it was used was 1984. You might contact Larry Graves at (936) 291-7300 Sam Houston Funeral Home. They may have a contact point.

Memorial is a duplicate. Yours was created first but the memorial with 2 photos is at 81703782. Have a blessed day.

This person is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Lowell, Massachusetts, with his family. He is in Yard 5B, Range 11, Section KIERC, Lot 24, Grave 1.
Can you please edit the memorial to reflect this?

|SM Seidel||Birth year|
Please check the birth year on Louis W. Rohmfeld. I believe it should be 1887.

Thank you very much for the transfer of this family member to me.
|Linda||RE: William Fuhrmann|
I remember them taking trips to Texas and stopping to visit my mom, Margie's sister, on the way or way home. My mom, Anne, is the only sibling left.
I appreciate the offer to transfer. I have them in my virtual cemetery where I can visit them, so no need to transfer. I know they're in good hands.
Thanks for the message,
