I live in Marshall Co. AL, and have for some 59 years. Like most people on find a grave I love genealogy. I have been using this site for some time in finding my family. Someone asked me if I had ever thought about helping find a grave with taking pictures. I challenge you to join in this group of people. Find an old cemetery, and start taking pictures. These old stones are not going to hold up to nature.|
My family list includes: Birdsong, Brumbeloe, Cobb, Cornelius, Culpepper, Davis, Dobbins, Edmonson, Garrett, Gilbreath, Gorham, Jordan, Larmore, Martin, Pruitt, Roden, and Sims.
You need to claim a photo request before you take a picture. This way no one else goes out of their way to take the picture and the photo request will be fulfilled. Please do not post a picture on a memorial that has been claimed by someone else. The photo request will not go away when you do this, and you do not get credit for the pictures.
I have chalked stones in the past, but due to rules brought to my attention I will not be able to chalk stones any more. Please see: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?searchArg=chalk&page=listFaqs#96
Fill free to send any edits you may need by using the edit button. I will be glad to transfer any memorial I have opened unless they are my family. Any picture I have taken you can copy, I just ask that you give find a grave the credit. This is a wonderful site for genealogy study.

Thanks Nancy, I've wanted go take a picture of it since I was there 2 years ago with his brother Bill. It was when I first started Find A Grave, didn't know about preparation. His marker was covered in dirt and we had nothing to clean it with. I took a picture but it was so bad I didn't add it. I'm surprised the family never got him a military marker. He and both brothers served for 30 years in the army. Thanks again Nancy, you saved me a 100+ mile trip.

Yea I added the memorial for their son. I was linking him and noticed. I didn't know them but my first cousin Kenneth Liles married Dortha Mae George, the daughter of Leamon George and Lucy Dora Cornelius.
Also I heard you met my daughter Michelle, she graduated from nursing at Northeast today. Yea!

Thank you Nancy for your message and how to's . I appreciate you transferring Ira to me. I will start to work sorting out what to do with his father. I've never known of a grave having a memorial then that grave being moved

Hey Nancy, did you get my email?
|Martha McCaffrey Dobbins||RE: Dobbins?|
all my husband's family, except immediate, are in Maine so no he is not related.
|Lynn Wagenet||RE: Una Jordan Cobb|
My daughter-in-law is a distant cousin on the Jordan side also. Una is her 1st cousin 3 times removed. There are also Cobbs in her family, so maybe she is also related to Una's husband!

Thanks, Iím trying to get this corrected. However, this memorial was created by Trusvan (#46595075). He passed away last April, and Find A Grave has not yet assigned anyone to provide stewardship for his memorials.
