|Harleigh Isabella Tollinger||Second wife of Jesse Larue Cox|
I saw your comment from several years ago regarding Jesse Larue Cox's second wife. Do you know anything about her? I ask because I wonder if his second wife was my 4th great grandmother Elizabeth (Johnson) Ooley.
There's a marriage record for a Jesse Cox to an Elizabeth Ooley dated 10 Jun 1875, which Elizabeth (Johnson) Ooley was a widow by this time and thus would be called Elizabeth Ooley. There is a land deed from Jesse Cox and his wife Elizabeth, Hiram Ooley and his wife Nancy, Thornton Ooley and his wife Sarah, and Francis Ooley to Levi Ooley and Robert Ooley dated 25 Feb 1876, all five Ooley men being sons of Elizabeth (Johnson) Ooley. Jesse Cox is also listed as living three households away from Elizabeth (Johnson) Ooley in the 1880 census.
I would consider the idea that maybe Elizabeth (Ooley) Cox could be a daughter of Elizabeth (Johnson) Ooley, but she only had sons. Did Jesse Cox and Elizabeth (Johnson) Ooley get married in 1875 and then divorced by 1880?
