I was bitten by the genealogy bug in the early 1990's. The majority of my research has been on these families (from Kentucky, Ohio, Idaho, Germany & Hungary): Hensley/ Hencley, Blevins, Murphy, Shampton/ Shomkutyan, Gans, Soward, and Wallingford. |
If I manage a memorial for a loved one of yours and you want to maintain the memorial, please let me know and I will transfer the memorial to you.

I see you have completed work on the Sowards. I have as well, Greenup County, KY and Ohio. I know of the Wallingford's out of Fleming County, KY, but have not been involved with their research at this time. A lot of history out of both counties.

I went to her memorial page and all looks in order. I have posted may photographs and do not let any slip by my eyes downside or sideways. I hope that you can see what I see on the memorial page.
|Ms Renee||hello (Soward)|
you left a message for me ages ago and looking through my things at 4am in the morning I have noticed it doesn't seem I answered - I am sure every Soward is related ! Smile ! I do know that I have seen records that the first Soward in America was a Thomas Seaward (Seward) who came from Devonshire area in England. He was on a boat with his cousin, William Bishop and arrived in America in 1667 in Maryland. He left land (Tobacco farm) to his Soward boys. I am investigating documents and such out there about his life in England. My family, specifically is in Arkansas. I am in Arizona and haven't seen any of them since I was 12 so many, many years and most all are passed. It's a long story, as all stories are, but somehow, I am sure we are related. I found a great man who has been studying Soward's for nearly 50 years and they have reunions in Texas and are from Oklahoma and Texas. He and I are 'cousins' somehow going back 4-5 generations. Many of our relatives were in the Civil war and taken POW. (Records show for that) and also there are stories of how we are all very interested in writing and going through cemeteries and preserving - the Soward clan has chipped in and bought many gravestones I have heard and I know I always like investigating such things. I hope you are doing well and this finds you good and hopefully I will be back on this site sooner than I had been! Love and Hugs!
