I Brake For Old Graveyards
Jesse/Arminda Smith Town of Manlius, NY
Hi, I am working on adding graves in Fayetteville Cemetery (NY) to Find A Grave. I photographed a large family stone for Jesse & Arminda Smith along with small headstones for each and have added them to Fayetteville Cemetery on Find A Grave . Perhaps this is the Jesse Smith you have already added to Manlius Village Cemetery? I believe they may be your relatives and would be very happy to transfer them to you if you wish. Their son William M's name is on the family stone, but there is no small headstone for him, there is a nearby headstone that matches those for Arminda & Jesse with the name Mary Avery Woodworth 1843-1907, since the stone matches I feel there is very likely a family connection to the Smiths which you may know about. I discovered your memorial to Jesse when I was looking up William, and found there was a link to your memorial. Your Bio of Jesse seems to match the memorials I have added.

I will approve the edits that you sent but the link that has his father as his spouse is not on the relationship link on my memorial. It is on the father's memorial instead.

You would need to contact that contributor about removing it.

Madill, Burl not Cecil
I am told by a reliable source (Cecil's son, my F-I-L) that the picture you have on Cecil Madill's memorial (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=28766915) is not Cecil but his father Burl (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=28766342).

How did Pratt Smith know the Madill family?

unknown
hi Walt - it appears you have unknown burials for two of my memorials , one of which has a photo.

August & Sally Tremain - please decide what info you want. Normally the memorial placed where the person IS buried is considered the original - for the sake of any issues of which I have had too many today and am willing to let them go to you :)

thanks Maggie

RE: Hartman Rehn (Rehm)

Most likely the stone fell over and vanished beneath the grass or was swallowed up as the burials settled. You should contact the cemetery about correcting the spelling of the last name in the online burial search.

Edit Requests
Thank you for the edit requests. They will be processed as soon as I review them. Just a reminder, or in case you don't know, I thought you might like to know that I transfer out of guidelines. If you would like custody of any memorials I manage please submit an Edit request using the "Suggest any other correction or addition" option. If I am not related I will transfer. Thank you!

Walt,

I added the obit that you sent and found what I believe is her correct birthdate and death date. I do not know where she died and it is not noted in her obit. Cave Hill records show her burial date as 15 Apr 2008. Could this indicate a re-interment? Thanks for the information!
