A lifelong resident of Salt Lake County, I was born at 5:57 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 1992 at Holy Cross Hospital (now Salt Lake Regional Medical Center) in the East Central neighborhood of Salt Lake City.
Raised in Millcreek, West Valley City, Murray, Cottonwood Heights, and Kearns, a lifelong dream came to frution on May 12, 2014, when I moved to Salt Lake City. I presently reside in the Liberty Wells neighborhood — a place my ancestors first made their home in 1914.
Family history research led me to discover Find A Grave one day back in August of 2006. I subsequently joined and have greatly enjoyed contributing here since. I feel honored and privileged to be able to help document and memorialize the lives of those who came before me as well as preserve their information for future generations. It is truly a labor of love for me.
When not doing genealogical research, I'm deeply involved in Democratic politics at the local and state levels, serving as a state delegate, county delegate, precinct secretary, and Utah Stonewall Democrats board member. I also enjoy reading, writing (I currently serve as a reporter for Utah Political Capitol and am a contributing writer at KSL.com, the Deseret News, and Building Salt Lake), and listening to '70s and '80s music.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, belonging to the Wells Ward, Salt Lake Granite Stake (formerly the Belvedere Ward, Salt Lake Wells Stake; and Jordan North Second Ward, Salt Lake Jordan North Stake).
Please let me know of any corrections or additions that need to be made to one of my memorials.
As for transfers, I don't subscribe to the four-generation rule. If I've added a memorial for one of your relatives or friends and you would like to manage it, please let me know and I will be more than happy to transfer the memorial to you.
If you have time, please leave flowers for my grandfather, Brent Curtis; my grandfather, Norm Gibbons; my grandmother, Gae Gibbons; my aunt, Jane Brandenburg; my uncle, Marc Curtis; and my cousin, Clair Harward
Some ancestors had a magic way
Of leaving trails to climb each day
They had a goal and climbed with care
Faith gave them dreams and a home most fair
So from a land across the sea
They came to a land most promised to be
And lived their lives happy and free
They gave us freedom and a heritage great
Anchoring our souls from a cruel fate
Great thrills and joys their stories bring
Of the lives they lived and the songs they sing
God grant that I may useful be
And meet these dear ones in Eternity

I noticed that you maintain the Rev. William Walter memorial. I have a memorial to Harriet Walter Odin Kellogg, granddaughter. Her mother, also Harriet, is listed in the The New England Historical & Genealogical Register, 1847-2011 as a daughter of the Rev. Walter.
Find A Grave Memorial# 80168711
The Rev. Walter's memorial does not list a Harriett, so wanted to check with you.
Thank you very much of the transfer. I really appreciate it.

Hi Ryan! Not sure if you can find this for me or not since she's in Forest Lawn, Glendale. I have her husband, whose obit claims he was interred there, though the cemetery says they don't show him. I also checked for him where his parents are buried in PA, they don't have him either. If you happen to be out there, could you do any checking, or if you know of someone out there. I'm thinking he may have been cremated and the ashes given to the family, but the obit (1958) says interment to be there. Who knows right? I have added him with a note at the end of his bio. Thanks for any ideas!
Hey Ryan, I have added many a tablet photo to your memorials. Just wanted to say thanks for all your work here. James

Ryan sorry. I have added Niels Peter as a sibling two times to his own record. Can you help me delete one or tell me how I can do it. Thank you, Sue Knudsen

Hi, I am Bev Skinner, I work at the St. Anthony, Idaho Stake Family History Center and am responsible for maintaining the records on all the cemeteries in Fremont County, Idaho. I am currently working on the Pineview Cemetery in Ashton, Idaho. I have pulled up your memorial on Betty Jo Cordingley and the people you list as her parents are actually her grandparents. I assume you work with FamilySearch. If you go in to FS Betty Jo's ID# is LWM3-DKB. Betty Jo's parents are William Earl Cordingley and Margie Cherry and they are also buried in Pineview Cemetery.
I hope this information is useful. If there is anything I can do to help you with your memorials for Fremont County, please feel free to contact me. I appreciate all you are doing, and rely heavily on the information you have collected and placed in Find A Grave.
