My name is Janice and I live in central Arkansas. I am retired now and I have been doing some family research on both sides of our family. A friend told me about the Find a Grave website and it has helped me find where loved ones are buried. The site is also a very nice way to help others who are looking for Family and Friends that have passed away.|
I am only too happy to take photos for anyone if I'm in the area. If you want a copy of the original photo, please let me know as soon as possible. I only keep them for a short while and then delete them from my computer.
I try to be as accurate as I can when posting on this site, but sometimes mistakes are made. If you discover I have accidentally posted something wrong on your loved one's site, please let me know and I will correct it. I will gladly transfer any memorial as long as that person isn't related to me. If you email me, please put FIND A GRAVE in the subject line.
My husband used to help me on my quest to find headstones to photograph until he got lung cancer. On November 21, 2014, God called him home. Please visit his memorial.

I see you maintain the FindaGrave memorial for Serenia Sloan (15796387). I am currently researching Serenia's sister Eliza and I have a photograph of Eliza with her daughter Beulah taken about 1919. In the picture there is an older woman holding a baby (Beulah's daughter Gladys) who I think could possibly be Serenia.
I am wondering if its in your power, in any way, to help me confirm this identification? Is it possible you've come across the same picture? Perhaps you're more familiar with what Serenia looked like in her last few years?
Any perspective or additional contacts you can provide is helpful. If you wish to see the picture, please advise as to the best way to provide it to you (via my Ancestry tree, e-mail, etc).
Regards and thank you,

Thank you for letting me know about the other memorials, but Floyd Auldridge is my Grandfather (Mother's dad) and she has asked that I keep the one I did up.

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "Old Soldiers" that had ties to Vermont. Charles Fisher was one such patriot. May I use the photo that you contributed to his memorial page, to post on the Vt.C.W. site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Janice, thanks for the photo & memorial updates. I know that it is all-too-easy to be confused or overlook a memorial, because of name variations (maybe there should be a law that everyone have a microchip imbedded somewhere for "eternal identification" ... retroactive to 1492, at least) NO, No, that's a joke.
Good luck with the new knee. My wife and my sister have both had both knees replaced and they are in soooooo much less pain than before surgery ... I know that's hard to believe right now, but it WILL get better. Just remember to do your exercises to keep it limber.
