RE: Donald Sorensen
Normally, you would put the photo on the original, then remove yours. But I don't know how active the original contributor is to know if he will correct it (I sent in an edit), and the misspelling was on his part, in the last name 'son' instead of 'sen'. So if you want to keep yours, I can't do anything about it, but you might get notified again when someone stumples upon it (like I did). Appreciate your work!

Thank you for the photos of the gravestones in the Broyles Family Plot. While Charles Broyles was a distant relative of mine, our next door neighbor is his gr-gr-granddaughter by his first marriage.

Hi Jay,
Yes, that is the family who is listed in the directory and thanks for your offer to retake the picture but I think you did a nice job the first time and see no need to retake. Again, thanks for all your help, Cheers!!!

Jay, Thank you so much for taking the time to locate and photograph the memorial for me it is greatly appreciated, certainly an interesting site, shame it is not taken care of. Did you happen to notice if anyone else of the family was buried with him, by the picture it is hard to tell but it seems to me it is just his marker in the plot.
I hope you do not mind if I use the nice photos you took in my family tree, Thanks again and Cheers

Roger Lucero
Hello Jay

Sorry I didn't reply to your latest message yet. I don't know what happened to January much less remember what happened IN January. LOL, I just got the last of the Christmas decorations packed away.

Yes, I would appreciate any info you can find on Roger - at your convenience of course.

Thanks again, Nan

Question for you
Jay, are you located in Conejos County? If so, would you be interested in helping to solve a mystery?

Roger Lucero was a classmate of mine in California (class of '68). The pic I posted of him was taken upon his training completion. He was a Marine. Based on his grave marker he went to Vietnam.

I can't find anything on him but his name in his mother's obit (Calif)in Nov 1977 then his name on the Calif death index and SSDI where he died less than 3 months later.

The SSDI indicates he was receiving benefits, so I wonder if he had been wounded in Vietnam and was on disability.

If you are interested, have some time and are located in Conejos County, would you be able to go to the local library and go back to 1977 and 1978 for any local paper write ups/obits about Roger and/or his mother - Besentita Galindo?

She died in Calif and was taken back to the same cemetery for burial. The same for him. So there may be more than one article for each of them based on the circumstances of his death.

If you can help with this, that would be great.

Thank You!
Thank you so much for photographing the gravestone for Eliseo Cruz Jaramillo. I live in Michigan and would not be able to get to Colorado any time soon. Thank you very much! Elaine Hewitt
