I have been a genealogy fan for years. I began filling out forms and tracking my immediate family over thirty years ago. My direct lines are Barkey, Church, Smith, and Cato. That branches out into many more.|
I live near Aspen CO and hope to provide photos for anyone needing photos from this area!
Most of the memorials that I have added from Garfield County Colorado are not mine and I would gladly transfer memorials to family members!

Hi Rebecca - she was the daughter of Edward Henry Beaver (1837-1905) and Mary A. Weirick (1839-1923). There is a Vet burial card for Edward (he served in Co I, 184th PA Regt in the Civil War) that says he is buried at Beavertown.
I haven't looked on FG to see if anyone has posted a memorial for them - but this is NOT a strong area for me. My pea brain mixes up Beavertown and Beaver Springs if I'm not staring at a map; and all I've done in that area is a drive through - I'm working my way from the eastern part of the County to the western part. There seem to be different cemeteries in Beavertown that all run together; not sure if that's accurate and they just refer to the entire site as the Beavertown cemetery - there are two or three churches at the same location.
Mary Weirick Beaver's death cert says she is also buried at Beavertown. Edward died prior to the start of those records.
Hope that helps! Steve

Hi Rebecca - the source was her death certificate. I've been working on the Beaver family file, primarily for Snyder County, for about a week, doing lot of additions and updates. I can get you a copy off of Ancestry, if you like (just let me know), but this is how I've transcribed the information:
DC-Lewistown for Mrs Ellen Barkey, wife of Daniel, b. Beavertown, dau of Edward and Mary (Werick) Beaver, died of tuberculosis, buried at Mt Rock, informant is Alpha G. Ulsh, Baltimore (rel?).

Thank you so much for posting the picture of my grandmother's grave.

|Sharon Crowley||Question about the inscription|
Is it possible the inscription could read "Dau of Thomas Curran & Annabelle McEntee" instead of Dau of Thomas Skinner? I live in Texas so would not be able to check. Thanks, Sharon Crowley

My bad! He does not have 2 markers - one was his military plaque and one the double headstone but I accidently made 2 memorials. I deleted the one and linked his wife to the other and added the second photo.

I declined to link to her as she is a burial unknown.

Go to each memorial and at the edit tab just put "please transfer" in the suggestion box. I'll get the info I need and they are all yours!

Rebecca, I am not related to Jacob. Ted
Sorry but I am not related to any of these in Mifflin County, PA. I just took photos in the local cemeteries and posted them hoping to help others.

Many thanks for your time and efforts in providing the clear photo of the headstone. I've been doing research on the Sloss family for my brother-in-law and this photo lends closure to his branch of the family tree.
