Bio and Links
I've resided in Blackford County my entire life. I recentley retired after almost 25 years as a deputy with the Blackford County Sheriff's Office. I married here and raised my children here as my Father and Mother did. I got involved in find a grave by a friend.

Thanks for reading the bio.

Mr. Rhodes,

I came across your bio this evening. Your listings for Meacham and Lennon (and probably others)are connected to my Meacham line that lived in Blackford County for several years. Thank you for sharing the information you have; it is indeed priceless and very meaningful.

Grave Transfers
Hi Rik

I noticed you transfered over graves to me..I just wanted to let you know that when I sent the information on these family members did not mean to take over..just thought I had the information to add and maybe you would want it..I also wanted to let you know like my cousin paula that the I so appreciate the pictures you took..To have something to show yes this family member had a life on this earth and that a memorial was left for them feels good. Thank you once again..and I am new to this site so not sure what the etiquette is to submitting information. I will do my best now to maintain who you gave me but was fine with just contributing.

Lennon connection
Doing genealogy for my granddaughter's maternal side. Your posting for James Lennon mentions he and his son's dug graves by hand. Is Max or Vernon Max one of James Lennon's sons?

Rhodes grave
Hello! I fulfilled your photo request today on the Sarah Rhodes. I just wanted to let you know that there are several Rhoads (spelled different ways) buried in this cemetery. I took some photos of the other graves while I was there. If you would like those photos I would be happy to email them to you.

Hi Rik,

Oh wow, more than a million thank yous', I apperciate you for going out to take the wonderful pictures. The first picture I opened was my Great Great Grandfather. That was a warm and fuzzy feeling, heart warming to having the pictures.... the connection to him.

You a shared a gift to me and this means alot to me.

I sent a copy of them to one of my cousins... I can't wait to hear back from her. I know she will be so happy to see these.

Again I owe you big time... :)

P.S. I too thank you for your loyal service for 25 years...
