- Researching since 1981. Transfers will generally be made per F-A-G's guidelines, but I will consider transfers if you're a closer relative than I am. Please state your relationship. I will also be glad to make additions or changes if your information appears accurate. |
If there is a duplicate memorial that I don't know about or if I have made a factual error in a bio or caption, or posted an incorrect photo, please let me know.
Please do NOT post obits as photos. Abstracted information can be added to the bios.
A cousin and I published a modest book about our East Haddam CT ancestors. It is available by searching on keywords "Early Lands" and "Rogers" on Lulu.com (Free download). I welcome any additional information about the relatives for whom I maintain the memorials. I am assembling data for my Rogers clan, with a proposed title: "Descendants of Adam (Rogers)." Please share what you know. Let's hear their stories! Thank you.
Just because a cemetery reports "no stone," don't always believe it. Volunteer Tom C. kindly found one under the sod for my great grandmother Amy Sago 33 years after I'd been led astray by a letter from the cemetery!

Great. And now you can also enjoy reading turn-of-the century news online in case you hadn't already found that resource,

I found an article in a very old issue of The Aberdeen Herald. It published just a few days after his death.

Yes, My husband's great-grandmother was a Glagow, Missouri Steinmetz family member. Sam, Jr's grandfather, George Theodore Steinmetz, was a brother to my husband's great-grandmother, Mary Caroline Steinmetz Meyer.

You are so welcome. The dead deserve to be remembered. There are several Allens in Holy Trinity Lutheran Churchyard which used to belong to the Presbyterian Church and several in Whitelawn Cemetery in Pt. Pleasant. Wouldn't hurt to take a look.

On vacation and will research when I get home next week. Anne
|dorisG||RE: Alen/Burleigh connection?|
You probably need to contact Anne West as she is the one who created the memorial. Since I photographed these stones over a year ago, I don't remember if it was because of a request or if they were among the hundreds of "random" shots I take while I am in the cemeteries. Could Myrtle Burleigh have been a sister of William H?

Thanks for the heads-up. Understandable since I added the infant in front. Will see what I can do. Thanks for asking connection of my memorial to the family. I've also noticed some other Brown duplicates. Good luck with your family search.
