Bio and Links
Bio Photo Originally from central New Jersey, I've been living in California since 1991. I'm a volunteer cemetery photographer and am not related to most of the people I have added. Entries are posted in the interest of history and genealogy, and the hope that someone will add my ancestors (Applegate, Paladino, Krauter, Stahl, Bunting, Roninger (Ronocher), Hutchinson, Richardson, Coleman, Wilson, Flock, Tindall, ...).

For those of you who send me bios, obits, linkages, etc. . . THANK YOU! They are greatly appreciated. Please include the source of the information provided. If no source information is provided, I will list your contributor name/number as the source.

Please do not leave transfer or update information below; they will not be acted on and will be deleted. Instead, please use the EDIT tab on a memorial if you find any errors that need correction, you wish to add a biography, or are requesting a transfer. When requesting a transfer, please make one transfer request per memorial (not requesting transfers for other memorials within one email). This will ensure that the requests made will be completed on the correct memorial(s).

My photos may be used for non-profit (personal) purposes only. All I ask is that any photos I have posted be credited with my name.

Herman & Diena Opdenbrouw
...are my great-great grandparents.

The birth date you have in the note on Diena's memorial (#64651357) is correct: 13-Feb-1813. You can double check it at, which is the access portal to the Dutch civil birth, marriage, and death records. Using her birth name (Dina Viergever), you'll see the summary of her birth record (geboorteakte), and can view the handwritten record (in Dutch, of course).

I have submitted two edits via correcting her birth year to 1813, and changing her name to Dina "Diena" Viergever Opdenbrouw.

Also, I uploaded her obituary from The Ellenville Journal, 17-Apr-1905. Perhaps there's a way for you to add the publication citation.

By any chance are you related to Millard R. Brown (1870-1951), who married Jane "Jennie" Opdenbrouw (1885-1974), a granddaughter of Herman & Diena?

Lottie L. Fellows Barner
Linda, do you know why there isn't a photo of the headstone of my great grandaunt Lottie L. Fellows Barner (173724401) - to which I just added more info and a photo? Does it exist at this point? Thank you!

I realize most of the information posted was the truth but tell me how would you like seeing a memorial about someone you loved that had only the bad things they had done or got blamed for throughout their life. I know I cried for hours thinking how cruel it was for someone to post something like that. I would like to know who gave you permission to write his memorial? Especially such a cruel one. Haven't you ever heard the saying if you don't have anything nice to say then say nothing at all. This is not only my opinion but I asked all my friends on facebook what they thought without giving all the details and they all thought it would take a cruel person to do something like you did. No one wants to be remembered for their misdeeds.

Levi Hern, Merced, CA
The 1850 and 1860 census information belong to a different Levi Hern. This Levi was the son of Clayton Hern of Boone Co, MO; not of Joel Hern of Boone Co., MO. See the following newspaper items.

Melinda, in California, married the widower Edward Callahan and remained there.

This is one of his sisters and I would appreciate if you would remove the memorial you put up for him. No one should have a memorial like this. I was vety hurt to see that someone put this up. You did not know my brother. Or what happened but weather he did wrong or did right in life NOONE should have this kind of memorial. So please remove it.

Allen Williams' Headstone
Good Afternoon Linda,

Thank you so much for the photos of my grandfather Allen Williams' headstone. Dos Palos is such a small town, you may know of my parents Earl and Marylene Riley. Allen Williams is my mother's father.

Best Regards.

Theodore Wilson-b. 1807
Hi Linda,
I spoke to you last September after I found Find-a-Grave site regarding my maternal great-great grandfather, Theodore Wilson. I do believe we're related through the Applegate family. My cousin(Vivian-88) who resides in Hopewell and I took a trip to the Pennington Cemetery a few days ago but were unable to locate his grave. I spoke to someone at the Presbyterian Church who gave me the name of the person who has the gravesite records. Upon checking her records(2 different books and databases) which she got from her father in 1996 there was NO listing of either Theodore or wife Sarah Hart buried there. Would you know who gave you the information about the grave being there? I checked many graves there in the front section but couldn't find him either. I did find find a lot of Hart's buried there but not Sarah. Any help of what to do next would be appreciated. Many thanks, Dale Snyder Grubb
