I am a retired naval officer. I am addicted to genealogy. I love puttering around in cemeteries, even if I don't know any of the people there personally. I like to find and meet new cousins that I didn't know previously and share genealogical info with them. If you go back far enough, we are all cousins.|
Families I am particularly interested in include:
Zellner, Coffey, Harrell, Welch, Hayes, Rucker, Hipsher/Hipshire, Lorenz, Slocum, and Adams.
I have a special interest in the genealogy of many of the families who settled in Grainger County, Tennessee. They intermarried early and often, and if you are kin to any of them, you are likely kin to all of them.
The Millers were Volga Germans who immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1875. I have lots of information on them and the other Volga German families they intermarried with. I am happy to share with anyone who is researching that area.
I am always happy to transfer to a relative, even a distant one (unless they are my relatives, too!). I don't mind managing all the records I have created, but I am more than happy to transfer them to someone else with a direct interest to manage.
Feel free to use any photo I have posted. I wouldn't have posted them, if I didn't want to share.

Sure will cousinl. I know what a puzzle the cemeteries are over there. I took a trip to Thorn Hill several years ago and took many pictures. But when I went to look each person up, sometimes they were listed in many cemeteries. Some of these cemeteries that have five or six listings on Find A Grave need to be merged. I still have many pictures to add but don't want to add to the confusion.

I am trying to find Buford's wife Mildred. She should have been next to him when you created it in 2008. Is it possible to have missed her marker? I would like to add her but wanted to ask what you think about it.
|David Malbuff||Thank You|
Thank you for the photo and memorial info for Walter J Smith and Mary Alice Smith at Ryan cemetery in Jefferson county, Oklahoma. Thanks to you, my wife now knows the names of her paternal great-grandparents. May God richly bless you and yours.

I am not related to him but am just looking at his line for a friend, so I don't feel strongly. On the 1900 U S census he is living with his family in Greene county, TN. But, in 1910 he is on the Knox county census. He married in Knox county, his wife died in Knoxville, he registered for the WWI draft in Knoxville, and he died in Knox county. So I'm just guesstimating it was the Midway in Knox county. I defer to your pleasure!
