When I was born, we lived in Caldwell County, MO and now live in Daviess County, MO. I have lived in these two counties all my life, except for 7 years when I was a child and lived near Abilene, KS. |
I have always enjoyed sitting at the table at family dinners and hearing the older people tell stories about people and times in the past.
I became involved in looking for my genealogy when I got a computer a few years ago. My grandparents are buried in Caldwell County and some of my great and great-great grandparents as well. Some of the names I am researching are LOONEY, SLOAN, FARR, GREEN on my side and HOOD, GARRISON, STORY, HARRIS on my husband's side.
If you are looking for further information on Caldwell or Daviess County, Missouri ancestors, the following are some of my favorite websites:

Hi. George W. Harmon, Find A Grave Memorial# 42745475, is not George William Harmon, but George Washington Harmon. He is my great-grandfather. I'd very much appreciate it if you would edit his name.

Hello, I am wondering if Naomi was the daughter of George Squires and not the wife. I have found Naomi listed on the 1850 Census in Clay, IN (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MHVK-9JK?from=lynx1&treeref=LTFR-BVS). Would love your thoughts.

|Linda Maxwell||Nettie Atwell|
I was wondering if you knew anythng else about Nettie (Atwell) Canfield April 17, 1880 - April 29, 1912 buried there at the Highland Cemetery. What might she have died of at only 32 years old, and is anything known about the burial of her last child with John Maxwell? The first 2 children are buried at olive Cemetery in Crawford County Arkansas, but the 3rd son was buried somewhere in Oklahoma....
