RE: Anna Hess Photo
I wonder if your high-res photo will show the name more clearly. I do not have any other information on Anna other than she is the wife of Samuel Hess II. I cannot remember how or where I got her maiden name as Britt. I collected this information early in my genealogy quests and failed to document where I got it. I do notice that several other ancestry trees also have her maiden name as Britt. Maybe they just copied it from mine. OR, I may have copied it from someone else's tree. I am usually pretty careful about these things but I sure could have made a mistake. Thank you for your efforts. It is much appreciated. I will try to do some research on Lutz. I do have some other Lutz in my tree.

RE: Anna Hess Photo
I thought you took this photo. Your caption says it was taken by Lynn Franklin and it is copyrighted. You said the name on the stone was Lutz. The photo that you posted is not readable to me so I cannot determine what her maiden name was. Did you actually read the name "Lutz" on the stone OR are you taking this information from the person who photographed the stone?

On the Find A Grave memorial photo you wrote:
Burial marker for Anna Lutz Hess (1800-1854).

Photos - Cogswell Cemetery
I already contacted Carol Brotzman and I'm waiting to hear from her. Her photographs are already posted on the Cogswell Cemetery webpage. I just need to get the other two photographs deleted by findagrave. Thank you for getting back to me.

Dear Mr. Sweeney, The findagrave question section of the website indicated that I had to contact them directly in order to remove the photographs since there was no delete option when I clicked on the photograph. I just sent them an e-mail requesting that they remove the second and third photographs on the Cogswell Cemetery, Bradford County, Pennsylvania webpage. Again thank you for bring this to my attention.

Dear Mr. Sweeney, Please except my apology for the photographs that were posted last year by another family member. I recently took over her findagrave interments because of health reasons. I tried to delete the photos from the cemetery but, there is no delete option when I click on view cemetery photos. Am I doing something incorrectly? Please advice on how to do this. Thank you for bring this to my attention.

Anna Hess Photo
Bob, Thank you for getting this photo for me. The caption with the photo says this is Anna Lutz. I have her as Anna Britt, wife of Samuel Hess. I guess I'm a little confused. Do I have this wrong ? Any insights you have would be helpful

Center Baptist Church
The picture you added to Center Baptist Church, off Highway 18 N, North Wilkesboro NC appears to be a picture of a cemetery in Pennsylvania. Could you please check that? I was up there today and I don't think this is the same as well as there is a description of another cemetery under the photo.

RE: The Sones Family
Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I submitted the wonderful document "Settlers XVIII: The Sones, Stevenson, and Sullivan Familes" with the link,on my DAR application as proof that Hannah Sones was a daughter of Henry and Ann (Lowe) Sones, and that John Robert Stevenson was a son of Henry and Hannah (Sones)Stevenson but was told "they don't say what they used for their sources. I even submitted your amazing bio as the coordinator. A very kind person from Find-A-Grave referred me to Carol Sones Shetler ( who is a Sones historian, and I sent her an immediate e-mail. I had actually spoken with Carol before Christmas when I was struggling with lineage proof for Daniel Dugan (Sr) another Patriot who is my 3rd great-grandfather, but Carol had not gotten back to me. Again, I appreciate your help.

The Sones Family
I loved the article Settlers XVIII: The Sones, Sullivan, and Stevenson Families! Hannah Sones is my 2nd great grandmother. I am trying to obtain data for a DAR application (for Peter Sones, grandfather of Hannah) Could you tell me where that information in the article was obtained? I have not been able to contact Gloria Stevenson Marashai via her stated e-mail address. Thanks!
