Sarah Collier and James Crumby
Hi! I hope this helps with research! Sarah Collier, daughter of Amos Collier, married James K Crumby. He did not marry Nancy. They were married in Guntown, MS, and microfilm of their marriage license/bond should be viewable in the Jacinto library archives. Old Tishomingo/Prentiss/Alcorn County archived vital records were moved there in the 1970s. Sarah also appears on MS and TN censuses with James, not Nancy. The Collier families grew into a large clan, and they recycled names so often that lines are crossed very easily! It was common to see cousins of the same ages with the same names.

RE: Joseph Louis Cheruvront Bible
I just sent off an application for my daughter using Eva Bible. Along with the application I also included a detailed "critical analysis" as to why Stephanie did NOT copy the genealogical data of 40 families into the Bible.

I am very hopeful that DAR will accept what I sent because there is NO possible way that Stephanie knew the birth date of Eva. There is no record of it in the US and there is no record of it in Europe because Don Bible went 2 or 3 times to Germany and it could NOT be found although records for the other family members was there. I told DAR only Eva could have told Joseph Cheuvront her birth date. LOL NOT Stephanie.

RE: Thomas Treadway Byrd
Thanks for the information. One of the Thomas T. Bird's had "Thomas Taylor Bird" and we all thought the three Thomas T. Birds were Thomas Taylor but apparently not. I have been to the old home place of Thomas T. Bird and Sadie Downs in Detroit, Marion Co., AL and have pictures of his old place. It was a log cabin and someone tore the siding off of it, left it and took the logs. The foundation was large rocks. Also, Their son, John Kirk Byrd lived not far from there and the people who owned their log house sold it to someone in Columbus, MS and they did the same thing. Someone had built a larger house around the logs and they tore it down and took the logs to Columbus, MS and erected it there, so I was told by the people who owned the property at the time. The distance between the Thomas Bird house in Marion Co., AL and the John Kirk Byrd in Splunge, MS is about 8 miles. I'll be happy to send you some pictures if you have not been there or seen them.

I was wondering if you have any family photos - would like to talk with you more. My email is khendrick@cfl.rr.com

Wilkins
Patricia, the memorial you did for JKP Wilkins is amazing. Thanks for your efforts. His father Jonathan is my 3x g-grandfather. I'm wondering if you know of additional info sources on Jonathan and family, or of descendants that may have information. Thanks! Jack Davis

RE: Elizabeth Sanderson and Drury Thrift
Hi Patricia, Thanks for your reply. It would be interesting if more of Elizabeth Sanderson's descendants had their DNA tested through Ancestry DNA. We could connect on Ancestry.com. Possibly other descendants would have the Native American DNA in their results. The closer the descendant to her, the more of her DNA would likely be inherited. My 82 year old dad is her 3rd great grandson. Both of his grandfathers were Elizabeth's descendants giving him twice the odds of inheriting her DNA. His DNA revealed that he is 94% Great Britain, with no Native American DNA. Having said this, I must admit that we, too, have had the idea passed down though our line that Millie Thrift (Elizabeth's daughter and our ancestor) was Native American. Do you know if any of her direct descendants have had their DNA tested? I would truly like to explore this further. Let's continue this conversation. I welcome all responses.
